  1. He'll be managing 2 players that are leagues ahead of anyone in our squad at least (Carrasco and Hamsik)
  2. That's Ray Parlour on the nice list
  3. He was joking ffs Just flies over the head of some unfortunately. Christ
  4. We haven't got to any semis or finals in the last ten years though, Disco
  5. My take/guess on this now is that the Bin Zayed bid is/was genuine, came at a great time for Ashley as all eyes were on him and Benitez and the contract negotiations, and they're milking it for all it's worth with no intention to sell. Allowed a massive delay on news re Benitez, they've got bollocks stories like this on the go as a result of it, and they'll doubtless call them timewasters shortly. Not saying it's an original view like but that's how it all seems now to me that or it's all bollocks.
  6. If that has came from Ashley, then he's either lying there or the club statement was a lie, or both. So he's either a liar or a double liar
  7. Great post. I have an elderly relative who is going again next season. When he tells me why he is, I can't have a go at him. He's in his 80s, only really gets out of the house properly for that. He says he knows we've been s*** for ages and that the owner is poison but looks forward to the games against the better opposition so he can still see some top players. I totally agree with the idea that people need to stop going but everyone's situation and outlook is different. I was determined not to go to any home games going back about five years but when my dad was at death's door and we didn't have many more opportunities I said f*** that, I'm taking him. Supporters having a pop at each other is just grim and achieves very little, in fact it'll make a lot of them more staunch as people don't generally like being told what to do.
  8. Does spam covered in hair float though?
  9. Was 7 years ago. Anyway 10 years, 6 years, 4 years, whatever. There were plenty during the 5th season that were still p*ssed off we'd sold Carroll and spent the money so slowly, and also many with suspicions that the way we were squeaking wins wasn't in the least bit sustainable. People have had different breaking points but I'd estimate at least half on here have given very little or no money to the club for a long time now. Anyway we're deviating from my original point, which I made a few posts back. To say it's a bit rich the way that new poster is carrying on is an understatement. To pack your season ticket in now is fine, to be abusive to those who won't when your decision is so recent is not.
  10. Good idea 1. You a cunt, m8? 2. Nar? You sure? 3. You want prontonise, you yank imbecile? Sorry, nees
  11. You really shouldn't have taken the time to paint that picture. ... and breathe Just can't abide all these s*** new posters turning up on here and carrying on like they're ahead of the curve when the vast majority of posters have had the situation sussed for about 10 years.
  12. I'm not a season ticket holder as I live in London but if I was I'd have sacked it off long ago. It's been painfully obvious for a number of years that we are actively stagnating as a football club. We've had the treatment of Keegan/Shearer, the sacking of Hughton, the stadium renaming, Joe Kinnear twice, sales of key players, continuous failure/refusal to replace those key players, being tight about anything and everything to the detriment of the club, the Sports Direct signs everywhere, the 2 relegations, Alan Pardew, John Carver, Steve Mcclaren, qualifying for Europe once in the last 12 years, the dismal Cup record, I could go on and on and on here. ^ So he's sat through all of that, handing over £500 or whatever to Mike Ashley every season when he knows what's happening and plenty around him have been saying you shouldn't support this anymore as it's to the detriment of the club. He chose to stick around, fair enough. He's packed it in now, fair enough. To then have the temerity to make multiple posts calling people "twats", "scum of the earth", "complicit", "socialites with no real interest in the progression of NUFC as a club", "spineless" etc over multiple boring posts, because they haven't yet packed it in like he did 5 minutes ago, is not only completely fucking laughable but it shows a chronic lack of self awareness and a total lack of humility when he's been funding this shit all this time himself So pity me all you like, dafty - I'll manage
  13. He was definitely a Targett at some stage. Yes that's Interpolic quoting joeyt, not the other way around.
  14. Tbh I have no problem with how anyone regards NUFC these days - whether they still want us to win, actively want us to lose (I was the same when I thought it might lead to Pardew's demise), or if they're almost totally fucking ambivalent which is about where I'm getting to. I'll probs stick the games on in the background and vaguely want to see us win matches but not be that arsed either way. I was pretty much at that stage for a lot of games last season, Rafa or no Rafa. What I do have an issue with is anyone who is settled on one of the above and therefore has a pop at anyone who isn't with them in their stance. Everyone is different man, it's completely and utterly tedious to grill people about whether they'll watch the matches in the house/pub next season and how they'll react to wins/losses/goals etc. Mind your own fucking business ffs, and get on with whatever it is you're doing.
  15. Selling our best youngster after less than 6 months of good PL form, sounds familiar. Cashing in on Longstaff when we've barely seen him is a lovely soul-sucking gesture that shows how pointless it all is so that fat vindictive cunt will be all over it I'm sure. There's just absolutely nothing to get behind or be excited about anymore and it's been that way at NUFC for a long, long time.
  16. Hang on. You've continued to go to the match for the TWELVE YEARS that Ashley has owned the club, yet anybody who doesn't pack it in now (i.e. at the exact same time as you have) is being called spineless and various other shit over multiple posts Man, that's absolutely fucking hilarious
  17. He's made me completely detest a county I was previously fairly ambivalent about
  18. No, he's just a complete penis. Easy mistake.
  19. Bit late here but fuck it, I can never help myself with this one 4 great years = spending more time in prison / injured than actually playing 4 great years = spending all but 5 months of the time you were playing being absolutely bang average at best 4 great years = street fights and various other incidents that shamed the club Such a disingenuous prick, that bloke. Talks a good game though.
  20. Newcastle fans wouldn't even know what a Benitez was if it wasn't for our insightful owner
  21. Please find another forum to post on. This is dire.
