So their offer was to stay not just for more of the same, but for even worse than he'd already put up with
-
Also for him to mock protests 5 minutes after arriving, 12 years into a miserable ownership - that doesn't really tally with the whole Nice Guy Steve thing we're meant to believe either.
-
Bruce has had some successes one "success" that even Alan Pardew managed though.
-
That was us chasing the game.

Bruce clearly possesses the #1 PFM attribute of believing he should be able to just send professional footballers on the pitch and let them work it out for themselves. Same as Souness / Pardew and all of the rest of them. The same PFMs then express bewilderment / outrage that PFMs are overlooked for big jobs in favour of foreigners who actually take responsibility for what happens on the pitch and try to influence it. Fucking dossers, all of them.

My interest has been slowly dying for a while, been half watching games for ages now. Even when Rafa was here it was clear he was getting shafted and progress was being deliberately stunted from above. Again. You can only see that playing out so many times before you simply get bored of it. Now we're back to a self serving moron in charge it's almost impossible to give a shit.

 Four players to cover two. f***ing div. and you can only make 3 subs. Seriously man, this man's brain is somehow a bigger mess than his body is.

We really have gone from a Porsche to a piggy back here like.

Imagine it happening twice in 15 minutes

5k down on the usual is progress for us tbf, against the likes of Norwich who only bring 1k up then we could be looking at 8k/9k empty seats some games this season I’m not really sure what people were expecting. I’d consider that an initial success. it's a decent start. I'd expected we'd be looking at 40k or less when there was the chaos around Rafa but a few signings and decent opposition on the first weekend seem to have convinced some to go. I'm disappointed though as I think the attendances from here on in will be pretty results dependant. "If Rafa Goes We Go" seems to have been a fairly empty sentiment on a large scale. If 10k or so regulars have packed it in then it seems 5k or so others have been happy to fill the void. It's not enough really and the only thing that will see it go down to 40k or so is rubbish performances and results on the pitch, hence part of the mixed feelings for watching our matches now. Whole thing f***ing sucks, growing up with the club in the 90s then 00s seeing how fun NUFC could be and experiencing this nothingness now where my main hope was seeing as many empty seats as possible is a real kick in the teeth.

I think people are jumping the gun a bit. It seemed to me like a lot of people packed their season tickets in and plenty had had enough once Rafa left. I doubt many of those are the ones now going with this annoying superfan message on social media so IMO there's still a silent and significant chunk of the fan base who have walked away. I honestly think we're seeing the beginning of the end in terms of capacity crowds, how quickly it will dwindle will naturally depend on results and performances, and also how many people step in to take the seats that have been left behind. We'll see but honestly I think some people on here are getting disproportionately disheartened by some weird characters on Twitter when in fact the penny dropped for far more this summer than ever before during Ashley's ownership.

Why are they choosing to hamstring the attacking side when the margin is so minimal it's almost non-existent?

That's spot on tbf, Andy Carroll is Andy Carroll. Thanks for the insight, Steve.

Norwich have deserved that and probably a bit more. They may have just made Liverpool angry though, mind.
-
Norwich have looked dangerous / Liverpool shaky a few times here.

Leaving one of them out for Jack Colback would have been absolutely fucking stupid. So he had a choice if he was happy to look absolutely fucking stupid.
