Newcastle United 0-1 Bournemouth - 04/11/17 - post match reaction from page 27
Interpolic replied to Greg's topic in Football
I was in the Leazes/East corner and the atmosphere was well edgy at times. Seems like the worse the perception of the opposition, the shorter the patience with our team and the higher the expectation the other team will just roll over. -
As a reminder, this is what I posted No blaming him for the loss, no saying he or it were our biggest problem, just an observation that in a situation where the onus is on us to attack and open them up, he was hanging on to the ball at goal kicks like we were 1 up at the Nou Camp.
-
Was just something I noticed having not been to the match for a while, i.e. piss off.
-
Begovic was the no brainer signing for us this summer at 10m.
-
How fucking long does this fat orange cunt want to take over goal kicks when we're drawing against Bournemouth at home? Was infuriating.

The ref was an utter cunt like, seemed determined to fuck us over second half. -
Thauvin didn't even play enough for anyone on here to make much of a meaningful judgement.
-
Gayle played pretty well today actually, not sure how anyone could think otherwise after seeing Joselu's performances in recent weeks. Him, Ritchie and Atsu were all threatening first half. Everything went to shit after that.

He was a prick all game, moaning at the ref from start to finish. -
Disco's comments in particular are slightly OTT imo.

I was thinking about this the other day - if you think of Joselu and Perez as our front 2 can you remember a weaker pairing in terms of goal threat who got a run of games for us in the PL? Not sure I can, although I'm sure there are a fair few one-offs.
-
I totally remember that, was in the papers at the time. Crazy offer.
-
Brilliant response, can't see the image without hearing the laugh
-
Yeah I'd be surprised if he ends up having a PL career now, he's spent too many of his formative years not playing.
-
That is very true, however the statement is probably right Lascelles is not ready yet, if he was playing for one of the top 6 he would certainly be in the squad though. Could the same be said for Dunk? Wonder if Lascelles is ahead of him in the pecking order 2 year age difference but they're both at the age (Lascelles nearly 24 and Dunk nearly 26) where it shouldn't really be prohibitive.
-
Don't see why Lascelles is a year away when plenty of other players are getting picked these days on the strength of a few games.
-
No sign of callups for Lascelles or Shelvey then?

Sky are busy deciding how much to fuck with the fixtures around that time, aren't they?

That game made me remember Shane Ferguson as he made a nice little run with the ball at one stage, which made me recall this: Rangers sign five Newcastle players on loan on deadline day http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/31099950 Just checked and Vuckic played 15 games (scoring 8 goals), the other 4 didn't make an appearance between them. Add it to the list of pointless / exasperating / most probably bent activities we've seen under this owner.

0-4 at Stoke ffs, up there with the Stevenage and Brighton (2nd one) FA Cup exits as the worst games I've ever attended.
