The applause thing went on far too long for my liking, despite the admirable sentiment. And as LFEE says there were cringeworthy boos at away games when home fans didn't join in. Hope it's done now.

I really like Bamford from what I've seen. Would love us to sign him.
-
I don't think that's too bad a signing if they can keep him fit like. Without a doubt the mackems "policy" of signing bigger clubs' cast-offs isn't much cop at all but he'll do for a club in their position unless he ends up being a crock.

Not sure there's been any hate about Evans or anything of the sort. Steady enough defender and £7m ain't much these days given he's likely to be pretty reliable. Would have been a canny signing for us, especially being mindful of the fact Williamson ends up playing 30+ games a season for us every year.
-
Aye, he'll be in here saying he was the next Beckenbauer until he picked up a thigh strain in August 2012 any second. Re Evans I wouldn't spit on the daft cunt if he was on fire personally, I've got morals and recognise my responsibility to be a role model to kids and that.

Do you just gauge the mood over a few posts then turn it up to 11?
-
Didn't he run on about training all week with that system so didn't want to change it? Yep. Cunt.
-
I'm not even that bored yet, this has only been going on a few weeks and doesn't even qualify as a saga versus previous.

Good read, let us know when the 2nd part of 96/97's up. Loved it when the game was that simple.

Fucking better win us the league, otherwise what the fuck's he smiling at all the time.

Well you're in for a world of hurt.

No chance on Earth.

Link doesn't work.

Phenomenal work when a news source manages to make a 100-word "article" irritatingly repetitive.

Even if they spend an absolute fuckload it's no guarantee of success like. Some players from foreign leagues hit the ground running but loads of them need time to settle. Not sure if there are many examples of a club changing more than half of their first eleven then going on to win the league, there might be a couple but it's not common.
-
Agree although it seems slightly unfair in a sense. Them challenging next season would be enough IMO. The squad had become a bit of a mess before LVG took over. Chelsea's squad is more well suited to churning out enough results to win the title I think.
-
Cavani would be good, I really can't see Kane leaving Spurs at this stage though. It'd cost them Sterling money and as great as he was last year it'd be a risk.
-
It depends who is available I suppose, there's a real dearth of talent at centre half these days so it might not be as straighforward as throwing money at it. Ramos would be a great signing, obviously. Add Lloris and Shola and they're sorted. Would cost a fortune though, obviously. Actually they could do worse than Remy tbh.
-
Aye it's pretty perplexing that they've not strengthened in central defence yet, unless they're planning to do so. 3 players down the spine (CB, CF, GK if De Gea's off) that are strong characters and just about the finished article and they'll challenge for the title next year IMO.
-
Is there anything in the fact they're all quite physically slight, is it not that physical a league?
