  1. "But then again we could end up in the Championship" man. Disgraceful that this attitude exists in the camp, but not at all surprising.
  2. They were hardly a secret tbf Pretty stupid when he himself is complaining about other clubs coming in when info gets into the press though.
  3. Got a fantastic chance of the title IMO. Me too. Ah that reminds me, I had a dream that Man Utd beat Man City 12-5 last night, why the fuck did that happen?
  4. I genuinely feel like I don't have a lot of stress or hassle in my life that I can put down to being in London, I suppose I must just be used to it. When I first moved down here I thought it was pure bedlam though. May well be true but I know your travelling on to work & hours at work will be worse than mine. I'm a lazy fucker though. I'm really lucky travel-wise, I should get the bus because it's cheaper but have worked out that getting the tube allows me to get out of bed at 8am and rush like fuck to get out the door by 8.30 and still get in by 9. My hours at work have fluctuated like hell, I rarely work more than 40 or so hours a week at the minute but have went through spells there where 50-55 hours was normal, and I can feel it getting busier again. I'm also a lazy fucker but will put in the extra work and travel if/when needed. The underground is the pits at times, rush hour on that thing is when I really need to rein myself in and not get pissed off by the inhumanity of it all.
  5. Me too man, can't wait. We get Gomis and another we should be okay. Woo hoo!

  7. Excellent post, only things I disagree with are about everything being expensive when in fact it's mainly the rent which is extortionate and also taking ages to get anywhere, as we live in a place with good transport links and can get to most places in 40 minutes, tops. As I say though, good post.
  8. The cunt quota is relatively high in some places, no doubt about it. Probably helps me that I have a couple of mates from home down here and also work with lots of lovely people around my age.
  9. Many, many northerners have "escaped" south as well actually, mainly with work as the main reason but there are lots down here nonetheless. And in terms of stuff most people like to do in their 20s - eating, drinking, generally getting entertained in one way or another - there is simply lots more to do down here and you therefore don't find yourself in the same old places. Not slagging off Newcastle because I love it and will go back when we're settling down but London gets a lot of stick simply because it's London IMO.
  10. Find that crazy tbh, you've got all sorts of fun on a plate here, it's impossible to get bored. Diverse mix of people too, plenty of which are just as sound as anywhere else when you get to know them.

    Alan Pardew

I'm not making my mind up until I've heard a transcript and the all-important tone of voice.
  12. Me too. Bimpy, I can't believe you just said that like, it's totally absurd. Name most interests or activities and you have 100 times more great options to do them in London than anywhere else in the country. I couldn't live in Newcastle right now, I'd get bored within weeks. Later on though, sure. I'm assuming the theatre thing is a joke, otherwise wow. The only thing I'm having against London is it's busy and some people are rude, otherwise it's generally people having a chip on their shoulder for the sake of it. In other news, I'm genuinely on the bus to the theatre to see a play now.
  13. Living in London's great man, I don't understand it when people say this sort of thing. Aye, it's proper shit having limitless amazing things to do with your time like.
  14. WTF's a goal miss? Oh God, it's just sunk in.

    Alan Pardew

Coming to you directly from the deepest alcove of Mike Ashley's hoop, it's Alan Pardew.
  16. Sorry, I just hate exclamation marks.
  17. Why did you do all the exclamation marks, HTT? Made the post absolutely fucking shit.

    Loïc Remy

Aye. Fuck me man, are you for real?
  19. And bankrupt the club? Yeah great idea that Dave. I really shouldn't even bother here like but clearly finding an extra couple of million for Gomis isn't the issue, the issue is what we think he's worth. And if they want more than we think he's worth? What will we do then? I know, we'll either buy nobody or somebody we rate less. And people like you think this is a great idea because then you've got "value" - meanwhile plenty of other clubs have paid the going rate for the players they actually wanted. I'm way out of date here but fuck it. Thierry Henry moved from Monaco to Juventus in January 2009 for £10.5m. It's generally agreed he didn't do much in the 6 months or so he was there, and became unsettled in Italy. Arsene Wenger decided to pay £11m in Summer 2009 for him despite him not particularly raising/maintaining his value and also the fact he was unhappy. They could have probably got him cheaper if they'd hummed and harred, they might have missed out but fuck it they might have got him cheaper. In summary: Arsene Wenger is an absolute fucking mug and it's a wonder Arsenal aren't bust. Paying players' values and not trying to mug off the selling club is an absolute fucking mug's game. It never works and generally leads to bankruptcy.
  20. Jokes, bro. Hey, he puts in a good shift. Plays consistently in any role you put him in. Can play with anyone. Doesn't need to be in a lone striker role to be effective. He was admittedly excellent in every position (and every game) he played in for us, but I dunno mate, I just prefer Darren Bent.
  21. I quite like the little blue stripes. On an otherwise nice kit it would look canny.
