  1. The speculation was never that strong and had definitely died down before this plank started trying to drum it up again. So transparent.
  2. Me too, it's almost as if they've forgotten every single time we've tried it and it hasn't worked.
  3. Fucking mental that like - aye let's play our full backs on the wings, our winger up front, give a debut to an unproven left back and have a centre half at full back. All because Jonas has injured his arse.
  4. We often simply go without instead though, it hurts the first team squad and our chances of success. That's the reason for frustration.
  5. Not the direct quote nah, lots of people talking about it but the original tweet. I did find out that Napoli are interested this evening though so that ends that You are not the sharpest mole in the burrow like. There's no way I'm cracking the joke a 3rd time like.
  6. I was just thinking it was weird West Ham didn't spend the money on Tom Ince instead, then I realised it wasn't weird West Ham didn't spend the money on Tom Ince instead.

    Alan Pardew

I'm always hearing this about Marveaux going missing, don't see how he's had enough minutes on the pitch to decide that. Plus some of the players that have been on the pitch in his place have largely veered from shit to anonymous in their performances, so comparatively there's not much difference except Marv hardly plays.

    Alan Pardew

Ben Arfa barely played before Christmas that season and when he did he featured in the middle while you had Obertan flattering to deceive on the right. It was only when Ben Arfa bailed Pardew out a couple of times that he was given a decent run in the team on the wing. It was total overkill, there were games such as Norwich away when he didn't even feature when we were crying out for him. Nobody can tell me he shouldn't have had far more minutes that season and have me buy into it.
  9. Did you manage to find the £9m for Traore then, Mole?
  10. That would be generous of you mate.
  11. Really happy you're doing this again Beren, kept me interested in the football last year. Thanks. Liverpool 3-1 Stoke City Arsenal 2-0 Aston Villa Norwich 2-1 Everton Sunderland 1-2 Fulham West Brom 1-1 Southampton West Ham 1-0 Cardiff City Swansea 0-2 Man Utd Crystal Palace 0-3 Tottenham Chelsea 4-1 Hull City Man City 3-1 Newcastle Chelsea 2-1 Aston Villa
  12. Makes it sound like a fucking cult.
  13. The old Arsenal fan at my work hasn't said he's averse to it but he's surprised on the basis that "Wenger never usually signs trouble, and he's trouble". I'd be massively averse to us signing him, he's probably the biggest cunt in football. Sometimes you have to draw the line and the way he tries to con the referee from the first minute to the last is a fucking disgrace.
  14. I doubt a thread on N-O figures on the list of aims for Sports Direct News, but tbf who knows? It's clouded in mystery as ever.
  15. Might as well just get shot of them then, no value in a local press by the sounds of it. Your gripes don't seem that major to me, sure there were annoyances such as those described but there were also decent editorials, transfer stories and opinion pieces. It's gone now, there's no point in it and it's another reflection on those now in charge of the club. Local journos used to favour those players more willing to give interviews, they are now terrified to do anything but spout club propaganda. Big difference.
  16. I think this is harsh for reasons we've gone over on here a hundred times. They couldn't sell papers if they didn't have access to matches and press conferences and since our club is basically Communist Russia they have no choice but to toe the line. That possibly limits their options in terms of journos too. It's a piss take of a situation but we've seen what happens to journalists that make life even the slightest bit uncomfortable for Ashley, they get banned from the ground. I have massive sympathy for The Chronicle/Journal, they used to be half-decent (not amazing or anything) when NUFC wasn't run by fucking petty arseholes.
  17. Does it feature any/much news of other clubs?
  18. What the fuck is this shit actually about? An attempt to replace the 'publicity' generated by the stadium name change? A big fuck off to the local newspapers? A subtle replacement of the NUFC TV service? Whatever it is, it's came from nowhere and it's fucking weird.
  19. Neglects to mention us bringing in FIVE players in January to bail him out. Starting from a clean slate this summer, because it suits him.
  20. We've got a new one! http://www.thejournal.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-stronger-two-years-5671462
