Here wer gan. Hughes did a really good job at Fulham too IIRC. Ah right. Well if he was good 2 years ago, he must still be great now Black kid GIF. I don't think you have a point in this instance though, even though I said "Black kid GIF" without bothering to find the GIF of the black kid. Jol's done a good job everywhere he's been, I don't think a ropey month or 2 at Fulham's changed that.

There's nothing wrong with that. Time passes, records look different as a result. This time last year, I reckon I could find posts from most people on here rating Pardew way more than they do now. Aye fair enough but I'm just not sure what's happened in 2 years at Fulham to change your view significantly, he's done a good job with mostly dross there if anything. He's still spent quite a bit and are below us in the table. Worse squad than us, plus his previous record.

Would you believe me if I called it extreme sarcasm? I just wanted an excuse to check the search function was still working alright. Sorry bro It's working well mate.

It's fucking incredibly easy but I won't give away my secrets. Tbf you didn't say as much as brummie. Ooh there it is, Rich.

How? Even if you ignore everything else he did an excellent job at Spurs, helping to halt a long period of mediocrity. His team have taken their eye off the ball the last few weeks and suddenly he's bang average. If it makes you feel better, I felt this way before the last few weeks He's just never done it for me. He has mate, trust me.

I've uncovered incriminating posts from both of you where you've said you rate Jol. I like you both so I won't post them, but they're there unless you delete them.

Jol wouldn't be a disaster at all, he's done a steady job at worst wherever he's been.
-
Bet Jol goes to Everton in that case.

month more like Lowlights more like.

What the hell happened with him at Forest?

There have definitely been games where Sissoko has played off the striker for practically the whole 90 minutes, particularly when he first arrived.

5 out of 5 were English, cheap and mediocre (with the possible exception of KK, but he had been out of the game for jonks). It's not beyond the reals of possibility that he would be more adventurous, but neither is it likely. Put it this way, we are far more likely to end up with a Steve Bruce or Martin O'Neill than we are to land your Philippe Montanier, Roberto Martinez or Frank de Boer. No we're not far more likely to get one of them, that's just your opinion. Our last managerial appointment was in December 2010, months after we'd been promoted after Ashley had to give up on selling the club for the last time and a month before the Andy Carroll sale which massively accelerated our change in personnel to highly rated, more technical players. There isn't enough evidence to judge that they'll never appoint a better or foreign manager, not now that they've started getting things right in other areas. You could have said in May 2011 that they'll never sign a Senegalese striker because they never have done before, and you'd have been proven wrong twice in the next 8 months.
-
Not really blind hope like, he's only appointed 5 managers and our recruitment policy, personnel and quite a few other things have changed considerably of late.

Swansea away was the last game I thought we played well in, before the slump. We didn't create much and ultimately lost to a fucking wank goal but that was up there with the best performances this season imo. Cool, here you are: http://i.imgur.com/x6yPhu1.jpg So essentially shows we've improved since the new signings came in. At least that bodes well for next season. Or improved then went downhill again. It's a difficult business to judge but keep in mind that the only top team we've played in those 9 games since Swansea is Man City, the next best being Liverpool.

Since I sort of like stats in my daily life n'all and there's been much talk about the uplift in form since the new players came in, the important stats are here: http://i.imgur.com/WtJDiUk.jpg Now I'd be interested to do similar stats after the new player 'bounce', i.e. the point at which we seemed to almost revert to type after the initial boost of new signings. Where would you draw the line if we wanted to look at those stats? Villa 2-1 Chelsea 3-2 Spurs 1-2 Southampton 4-2 Swansea 0-1 Stoke 2-1 etc Just think it would be interesting to see the stats when you cut out a few games where we were clearly buzzing off the new signings.

Prozac, if anyone decides to go down that road.

Most deplorable football club of all time.

Didnt you suggest Anita as an alternative? I thought HF's point was just that we dont have a striker on the bench of a better quality than Shola, hence pointing to squad depth. Shola seems to come on in response to us playing it long, not the other way round. If that is the case then bringing on Anita would be odd. As for your point about how wonderful the arguments have been on here, surely the end of the season, with all the stats, facts and figures to hand is a good time to reflect on whatever has been said before? I find it incredibly farfetched to think that Pardew sees us resorting to long ball and hoys Shola on to utilise it, and I'm amazed you don't. Players panicking and reverting to a style that isn't historically suited to them individually when a goal up or drawing just seems like absolute rubbish to me. It's far more feasible that the instruction comes from the bench. They panic so much that even when the ball is dead and we have a free kick in our own half, they load the box and the keeper aims for Mike Williamson, despite the manager (surely) yelling at them from the touchline to play a short pass and keep the ball moving. I think something that everything can agree on is that Pardew's football isn't exactly expansive and on the whole he likes to keep things tight, i.e. not go hell for leather. However we've seen time and time again that we sit on a lead and the argument appears to be whether that's led by the players or the manager. It's clear as day that we sit deeper and give up on going forward when ahead or in a drawing position against a better side and as I say I find it difficult to accept that we do that because the players aren't confident enough to attack the game anymore. We did it numerous times last year when the players were full of confidence. Think the substitutions towards the end are also a clear indication, it was from instructions. Well I was fucking raging at West Ham when he brought Ben Arfa and Gouffran off for Shola and Gosling. I saw with my own eyes that we were the better team without being particularly incisive for 60 minutes, then gave up on our chances offensively, and beyond that were in danger for the first time in the game. That's what gets me, we risk losing games by sitting back and inviting pressure like that. Especially when we're low on confidence.

We went from getting less than a point a game to not much more than a point a game. We've got 41 points. So close to relegation form over the course of the season.
