Just realised i said it twice was watching the Milan game were typing. I'm jesting you make a good point on Walcott. Not sure it is a very good point at all, 10 goals in 26 games is still good going, even if you ignore the 3 games he was most productive in for some unknown reason. I didn't deny that though, just that his overall total is misleading and doesn't really show how good/bad his overall performances is. That's the trouble with stats they do tend to mislead more than help most of the time. I disagree, put it that way. Might as well exclude goals scored from outside the box, just for the hell of it. And his stats look fine without those 3 games anyway. Never said that though, all i said was that his stats for the majority of his games were well below the level of those 3 games thus his goal and assist return doesn't look as good outside of it.... hell if you look at his league only stats you see hell of a difference. What you're saying is completely different i'm not really excluding anything rather that his stats make it seem his performances are a lot better than they actually are. Anyway it doesn't really matter all i was trying to say is despite the stats ( which are misleading) i don't believe Walcott has performed better than Bale. His stats aren't misleading, players will always have some games that they're more prolific in than others. I understand your point completely, I just think you're totally wrong, sorry.

No chance! Agree, Yanga-Mbiwa doesn't even play in Ligue 1.

It's fucking batshit mental, I was a bit concerned when I first saw it.

I'm not sure I like your new avatar, keep thinking Baggio's back every time I glance at one of your posts.

Seems like geet loads of players end up playing for both AC Milan and Inter.

Hmm, I just remembered how long we fucked around with 442 and got angry again.

Think pretty fair Jamie Redknapp said Bale was in the same bracket as Messi and Ronaldo today, it was a bit weird because I was thinking this guy is meant to be an expert and what he just said is completely untrue to anyone with eyes.

What about them?

Not sure about that like. Starting Shola on the wing against Reading didn't completely ruin our 1st half performance but it doesn't mean it was the right decision.

Try to have a look at the replay, it's not as bad as it looked like. He doesn't catch Jonas in a leg breaking way. It's a yellow, and I think Webb got those decisions right. He had many decisions he got wrong but those two weren't one of those. I've watched it a few times, I thought it was a terrible challenge. It wasn't the nastiest 2-footed tackle I've ever seen, but I've seen countless more tame ones that have been punished with a red card. As I said earlier, I personally think that the player should be sent off every time they go in 2-footed. I never felt the need to go in 2-footed when I played football when I was younger and I have no idea why top-level footballers do either. For these tackles to be an automatic red card avoids doubt and actually makes the referee's job easier. It might also help remove this type of challenge altogether, or at least minimise them. -
I do think a midfield 3 of Sissoko, Cabaye and Marveaux's a bit attacking and would probably leave Cabaye doing most of the donkey work. I'd play one of Tiote or Anita depending on the opposition and I'd play Marveaux on the wing, I'm not convinced by this idea that he can't play there at all.

I don't think Colo's was a red at all, he was going for the ball and it was an accident. Can see why a pen would have been given though. I'd have sent Ramires off every day of the week, surprised people think otherwise. -
Bring back Amdy Faye.

OK, well we're owed quite a lot of points we've been cheated out of then. I personally don't see why a player ever feels the need to go in 2-footed, and they should be punished with a sending off. -

2 feet and you go off, simple as that. I'm used to that being used as a justification when NUFC players go, so fuck exceptions for the rich clubs. -

100%, I was foaming at that. Webb completely bottled it due to the colour of Ramires' shirt. The Colo one was more difficult for him to call. -

It evened out in the same game, that Ramires challenge was a stonewall red and I'm disappointed with MOTD for not showing it. -
FFS man, I wasn't even disagreeing with Kaka, he's just a mad radgie.

Jesus Lord give me strength ... Why would he try to do it on his own with Cabaye and Sissoko in the midfield with him? People are being way to harsh with Tiote. At least he isn't a coward, shirking responsibility. He actually tries to make things happen. Not his fault he was being played in a midfield two with inexperienced partners while Cabaye was out. He's at his best in a midfield three, and will give pass the ball well, and on time when people show for it. Have people forgotten how bad our movement was when Ba and Cisse were being played up top in a 4-4-2? I will bump this thread continuously to show up all you doubters when he comes back and is outstanding! Check out my other post, our views are similar but I'm just saying he needs to keep it simple and cut out the silly bookings. I have faith he can do that given the players around him, but it's not a given by any stretch of the imagination. Some of that comes down to how he's instructed to play. The coaches need to drum it in to him to tackle (cleanly) and pass again and again. It's a slight concern that Pardew's quotes on the matter suggest he wants Tiote to be a more complete midfielder, but perhaps he'll revert to sense now he has other players to give us those qualities going forward.

Can't see Pardew playing Anita or Marveaux instead of Tiote or Perch in many/any games. Me neither if I'm honest. I'd have Marveaux ahead of him in half of our remaining fixtures, personally. I probably would too, I think Cabaye, Sissoko and Marveaux/Anita can work out the defensive aspect of the game between them. Should basically be picking the midfield based on form alone for the majority of games and Marveaux/Anita are pretty unfortunate not to be in the side at the minute.
