Yes it was their original Asian billionaire, who is now a fugitive from the government in his own country. Aye that's the fella.
-
Jo wasn't bought by these current Man City owners mind iirc.
-
Yeah true Baba, I think a list of players that have cost Chelsea £10m+ would be more interesting, there must be fucking loads.
-
Take inflation into account as well though, and Chelsea have bought plenty of players that were less than £20m but not cheap.

Chelsea's youth development system has been a joke as well. They've spent a canny bit of money on poaching kids from quite a young age and they've reaped no rewards whatsoever. Also I remember when they reigned their spending on the first team in a bit then they stopped winning things so they just went proper apeshit again.
-
At the moment Chelsea are worse, because they've been doing this for nearly a decade while claiming they'll become self-sufficient. Man City have made similar claims which are largely based around building those amazing training and youth facilities, so we'll see but it's probably a bit doubtful. Chelsea did build from a better starting point but it can't be said that they'd had an elongated period of success and achievement before the Russian arrived.

Oh good Lord, what have I done.

Gervinho.
-
Maiga's another one it could be, at a knock-down price. Reckon Erding's the most likely.

Spot-on usage, that GIF still rules.

Head's about 50% too big.

 WTF Dave, mental that like.

Can't underestimate the London effect, it seems quite important to certain players.

Tonight's Standard had a quote from a Chelsea bigwig saying the Champions League win earnt them hundreds of billions millions, no shit. They then used this to justify them spending £62m on Hazard and Hulk, this is the article here: http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-close-in-on-62m-swoop-for-eden-hazard-and-hulk-7793476.html

Horrendous scenes there, fuck's sake.

Nah I don't know tbh. I know he had an up-and-down season overall, but I do remember him playing in CM at QPR and he was brilliant, totally ran the show imo.
-
Semblance dosnt really work there. There is no need for that word at all tbh, the sentence works without it. Thanks mate.
-
Every time I see this guy's name I think "Debuchy coochy coo" in the stupid voice you'd expect for some reason, not sure if I can handle him signing from a selfish perspective.
-
But I don't know which players to pick.
