Oh also I tried the t-shirt on in the club shop today and it's slim fit so I'd personally size up. The track top feels like normal Adidas sizing.
-
20% cashback on Adidas here, still no sign of the track top though: https://www.topcashback.co.uk/adidas-shop/ And does specify you can't also use voucher codes.
-
Bloke's got loads of money yet he'll try to get Howe sacked or push disgusting right wing views for a bit more of it. He's a fat greedy mess, whatever his waist size is.
-
It was nowt. The Trippier/Gordon interview cleared it up. No bother, move on. Not surprised to see the fat greedy bastard True Geordie ranting about it - needs some drama for his views when we're winning. Doesn't give a fuck about anyone but himself. Some ridiculously harsh comments about Nick in here, who has slotted into that midfield role seamlessly. Having technical, press-proof players in there means we're missing Bruno less. Fair play to Nick, looks good there. We've won our last 3 away games 11-3 and some people are obsessing over the opposition standard, cheer the fuck up ffs.

They've worked for me for stuff before, like I said. Full priced Newcastle gear that said it was exempt from discounts. It's trial and error.
-
I have tried 15% discount codes from voucher sites and my work shopping app and they don't work. I can try buying an Adiclub voucher for points but don't want to do so right now as it'll have an expiry on it etc. That worked fine last time for me but if those other codes aren't working at all it's maybe not promising. Can't see any working JD codes knocking about either. On the plus side at least this stuff hadn't sold out dead quickly.
-
Howay man Adidas, put the track top on your site so I can see if me code works.
-
In an ideal world I'd buy all that gear like

Intriguing that you've asked this in the football section, the place where serious questions are asked. I'd be keen though aye

It's just great seeing Nick more involved in that kind of position for the time being, nothing was sticking with him up front for ages and I was starting to lose hope. He played up front on his own at PSG but I think that's 5 games now where he's not been on the pitch without someone else playing up front. Suggests that's the plan for the moment, if we have the personnel available to support it.

Yeah we are tbh. Remember that VAR was brought in almost overnight with zero fan consultation, after decades of discussion about it with the most common conclusion usually that it wouldn't work in a game so fluent. I'm still somehow "for it" after the first few years but the scope and implementation of it leaves a lot to be desired.
-
My preference is somewhere in the middle, keeping VAR but working out how to make it less intrusive. I wouldn't be happy going back to getting way more even basic decisions incorrect, especially because I'm convinced that unconscious bias towards the big sides with abusive managers is likely far more prominent without VAR. Whether that's correct or not I don't know but it certainly felt that way pre-VAR.

Joelinton has been a big factor in us not getting bullied in midfield as much the last few years, especially against the bigger sides at home. Nobody turns up expecting an easy ride when he's in our team. He's had his ups and downs but overall has turned out to be an outstanding signing.
-
That was two seasons ago, hence the frustration I'm not minding him up front atm.
-
Beardsley would be one of the best players in the PL today. Better than Saka, Palmer, Rogers, Cherkhi. Also more hardworking than any of them. Nothing about his game that wouldn't fit. Worra gobshite.

Aston Villa 1-3 Newcastle United (14/02/25) | post-match reaction from pg. 62
Interpolic replied to Disco's topic in Football
They've been (often underservedly) squeaking through matches by 1 (often long range) goal for months and months. If it doesn't catch up with them and they finish top 3 playing this way it'll be one of the flukiest such seasons I can recall. -
Beardsley pressed like mad from the front, had crazy fitness/stamina levels, insane technique, brilliant passing, out of this world dribbling, incredible shooting from long and close range, built telepathic partnerships with fellow attackers. He was physically fairly small but no more so than some players who have excelled at the likes of Man City. Could play on the wing or at 10 or 8 these days. Beardsley is probably one of the first players I'd think of who was era-proof.

Some people are determined to spend our relative glory years absolutely livid 24/7.
-
Absolutely fucking scandalous stuff.

Different styles, similar results. Spiteful neglect vs egotistical over-interference. Forest have been pure chaos since promotion with the scattergun approach to transfers, they lucked out with a decent formula under Nuno but he couldn't leave it alone. Similar ballpark imo, in terms of an owner leading with their ego and not acting in the best interests of the club.

Villa squeaking so many fucking games, man.

We didn't reach a cup final that season.
