I can't tell who is joking now when they comment that flogging some gear will help us with our PSR issues It's obviously a drop in the ocean. It'll barely make a dent. It'll effectively help with Elanga's wages for a few weeks, or whatever

I picked up the away top on Adidas site just now, seems it's the training gear that is mad popular. Seems a very silly selling strategy. I understand the FOMO aspect they're preying on but surely it would be better for all concerned if they just made enough stuff to satisfy demand over a longer period.

There's a hell of a lot more transparency with those numbers being made public, good stuff.

EVERYONE HEAR MY OPINIONS

Someone mentioned this the other day but the latest brilliant addition to ticketing is the presence of disabled tickets when you're checking resale (for the Man City game anyway). Can they not add a filter ffs, so I'm not seeing disabled, youth and hospitality tickets every time I hit f5? The process is miserable enough without them actively making it worse, no consideration for the user experience at all.

"There are no easy games in the Premier League" used to be an annoying cliche that didn't ring true. It's become a lot more that way this season though. It's not just us struggling to smash 'lesser' teams. We're 21 games in and there have been only 5 wins with goal margins of 4+ all season, across 210 games. That's just 2% of all fixtures, versus 6% across last season (24 4+ margin wins over the 380 games). Draws (26% this season vs 24% last) and 1-goal margin wins (37% vs 36%) are both up slightly. Interestingly 3-goal margin wins are up slightly too (13% vs 11%), suggesting 3-0 is the new 4, 5 or 6-nil. (Used the 'Margin goal' filter on this site for all stats: https://www.fctables.com/england/premier-league/ ) I've heard a lot of people say the league is crap this year, or similar. I disagree, I think it's more competitive. There has been stylistic regression (i.e. Arteta-ball and the whole league starting to copy it), but anyone can beat anyone and most teams are therefore struggling to find consistent form.

Same question from me!

Awful news about the one man who's a hero to all of us who support the club, hope he pulls through and in the meantime is as comfortable as possible. He was always one of football's romantics and that crazy, entertaining, relentless match occurring tonight, the same night his name was sung around St James' for the first time in many years, had some beautiful poetry to it.

Phenomenal press conference that, as usual he represents the club so well. The Keegan stuff was lovely Very interesting re Miley, Howe saying he's trained at CB more than at FB and they see that as somewhere he could play.

Sorry to hear that man, hope you're alright Such a buzz though yeah, hate trying to get to sleep when I'm up a height after one of those -
Was aimed at anyone making negative posts the same evening as THAT GLORIOUS FUCKING MADNESS.

Leeds' first loss in 8, including 2 draws vs Liverpool, a draw vs Man Utd and wins over Chelsea and Palace. Immediately before that run they ran Man City and Villa close. They looked a dangerous side all night and it was probably the worst time of the season to play them. There are 2 teams on the pitch both trying to win the game, lads. Aside from that we've just won a thrilling game in the 102nd minute, probably one to enjoy in the hours afterwards rather than agonise over it not being straightforward. One of our best ever managers won't hound himself out though I suppose

Think he's rewriting history tbh. He's had a few good halves this season and some absolute shockers. Recently raised his floor seemingly so we're getting at least a 6 or 7 out of 10 which is welcome, but August to November we were seeing performances well short of that.

Hard disagree there like.

Holy shit, the disparity in the East Stand prices is insane. I'd only really been looking at the increases in the prices of the cheapest seats, which are bad enough.

Football fans being treated like customers and acting like customers shocker. -
Will this new range be released on other retailers at the same time as the standard release, or later or not at all?

End result = Gordon plays on LW the vast majority of the time, Barnes generally only plays in his most effective position when Gordon is unavailable or subbed or rested. We've 2 and a half years' worth of proof of this now.
-
Howe would be bored out of his mind in the England job. He's 48, can't see him entertaining that for a long time yet.
-
It's only a perk if there's danger of stuff going out of stock, you'd imagine.

I think there's clearly been a conversation behind the scenes at some point. When Gordon was signed it was partly for his versatility, whereas Barnes is clearly a left winger as that's where he can perform his best trick which he is really good at. So when we first saw Barnes moved to the right it was weird but you could put it down to Gordon's form/new profile. The more ropey Gordon's form has become the more obvious it seems this is coming from him, to me.
