Can't speak for others but I'm not annoyed to see HBA on the bench for the umpteenth time out of any warped loyalty to the player - I just want to see one of our most talented individuals given a whirl now and again, would be nice. Completely agree. It just amazes me that Pardew gets this amount of abuse because one player is on the bench. Fair enough, I think it's the culmination of a number of head-scratchers from Pardew in recent weeks. Agree that there's only one change I'd make to the side.

Well that's because we're a losing side Erm well yeah, I have been following it. I think most people expected us to have to falter and/or get injuries for Ben Arfa to get a fair crack of the whip, yet it's still not happening.

Pardew's went from not wanting to change a winning side to making a lot of strange changes that nobody else in their right mind would. The Ben Arfa situation's getting more ridiculous every week.

I also like the look of him, if he can consistently play how he did today then they've a useful player on their hands. Does strike me as the type of player who could struggle to achieve that consistency for some reason mind, but we'll see.
