West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Agree with Cajun in the sense I'm perfectly happy to have Obertan as a squad player. Really disappointing to see him starting every week though. I'm actually being quite level-headed there for me because I hate him as a player, just think he could be useful here and there away from home. -

N'Zogbia's a weird one, it's pretty inexplicable that he hasn't done better. Different circumstances and he might have carried on where he left off at Wigan. He must just be in a huff. -

I can't believe it man, he's made me fucking merk myself. I'd still take him back but I have absolutely no conviction in my opinion whatsoever now. Thanks Sewelly. -

Tbf we've clearly landed on our feet with that one, touch wood. It's a mixed bag with our transfer policy, who knows how good our side would have looked if we'd spent a bit of money rather than going cheap with Obertan. Actually I'm just proving your fucking point here about there being better value aren't I Sewelly, you absolute bastard. -

He looked a player that could have led our line for 10 seasons, my opinions haven't changed based on what's happened. And we're also skirting around the issue that the money generated from his sale should still effectively be there to spend of course. Our first team's very good, I think any additions other than another top striker can be capable (and cheap) squad players if we hold on to our best first team players and we'll progress. -

Aye, but theoretically would you rather spend say £20 million bringing Carroll back or use £20 million on 5 Cabaye/Tioté type signings? It's a very difficult question, I'd have him back but I wouldn't want us paying that much for him. We'd never spend that much money anyway, certainly not without selling Tiote and Krul first or something. It's just never going to happen anyway, it's so hypothetical it's ridiculous. Some middle tier Premier League club will probably come into some money and take a punt on him, doubt it will be us. -

He's clearly not a bad player, he's just went from perfect conditions to conditions that are very difficult for him for a multitude of reasons. The fact he's not the brightest lad is a huge hindrance. I think he'll end up being a decent to good Premier League player but I don't think it'll be for Liverpool. -

Been asked a million times, I'm in the yes camp without a doubt. -
Actually Martins' vs Spurs should be there as well, was an outstanding hit that everyone was talking about.
-
Either of Robert's vs Spurs are better than the one of his that's there, which is a bit of a freaky gimmick of a goal more than anything. Was a pretty incredible finish but you know.
-
Bergkamp against us The lad at work is adamant that he didn't mean that, and for that reason he fucking hates that goal. Was getting really wound up that I disagreed.
-
Every case is different though, you can't tell me Ferguson wouldn't have seriously looked at Essien if Chelsea weren't gobbling up every player in that price bracket at the time. Just depends on whether Ferguson rates Tiote and thinks he'd be worth the money.
-
Bloody hell, that's mental.

Pardew doesn't say 'not for sale' anymore, he'd be an idiot to do so after the Carroll fiasco.
-
What if the prize is Alan Smith's wages for a week though?
-
Oh, so the actual prize isn't your name on the screens and the directors box passes? Was so fucking confused. You'll just be on the screens etc as a consequence of winning the prize, like "Jill Millican, this week's prizewinner"? And they said they'd send you something. OK, I think I get it. Pretty cool, depending on what it is of course.
-
Weird prize. Actually I'm not sure if I understand the prize.
-
What's happening, Jill?

Classic Ronaldo nothing constructive to say and as obnoxious as ever, all the charm and personality of a rapist. Why did I bother hitting the show this post link. Nice.

In my hungover state this is by far the most interesting thing I've heard all day. Please keep me informed. Perhaps they want you to play centre half?
-
The fact that some of them aren't totally humiliated by this advert and instead are APPLAUDING IT. Fuck me.
-
The mackems will only need them for the first half an hour or so though.
