Carling Cup 4th Round - Blackburn (a) - Tonight @ 8pm. NOT TELEVISED ANYWHERE

It's 2011 for fuck's sake, what an absolute disgrace that I won't spend the next 2 hours shouting and screaming at my ISP. We're going backwards. -

Given that I've got Hatem and 3-1 I now think if we concede a last minute goal to win 3-2 it'll be the worst thing that's ever happened to me. Don't worry mate, I hardly ever win. -

I was genuinely going to go to a Halloween party dressed like this on Saturday... http://www.fancydressoutfitters.co.uk/images/christmas-tree-costume-deluxe-adult-1-large.jpg ... but fuck it, I think I'll go as Inspector Gadget instead.

Carling Cup 4th Round - Blackburn (a) - Tonight @ 8pm. NOT TELEVISED ANYWHERE

Since 2000 Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Birmingham, Leicester, Blackburn and Spurs have all won the FA or League cup and Stoke, Everton, Cardiff, Millwall, Southampton, Villa, Wigan, Bolton and Tranmere have all reached the final of one of the competitions. Hardly beyond the realms of possibility. And since 2000 we've apparently always had something more important going on to even bother. No excuses this season in my opinion. -

For fuck's sake man, we haven't won anything since 1969. -
Get rid of the away goal rule and you'll see plenty of away teams not even bother crossing the halfway line imo.
-
They must be rogan joshing.

Hate teams running down the clock and disrupting the momentum of a match with pointless late subs. Suppose the only way to get around it would be to ban non-injury subs from 85 minutes onwards but we all know teams would take the piss and pretend players were injured. I just hate time-wasting in general, really boils my piss.

I'm getting that way as well. Silva's everything you want to watch as a neutral, Ballotelli's fucking hilarious, etc. I burst out laughing at that T-Shirt yesterday.
-
Could see Glenn Beck as a closet mackem actually.

Not so sure about that. They'll gather their share of the arrivistes. But Manchester City just aren't as sexy a concept as Chelsea were went they did the same thing a few years back. Speaking from a purely Yank perspective. Maybe its the London bias, but I can't see American glory-hunters going for Man City in the same numbers as they fell for the "big four". (That is, unless, they really go over the top and dominate the Premier League for two or three seasons... ) They've got some really good players though, can see a lot of people latching on to them because of the likes of Silva, Ballotelli, Aguero, Nasri.

It's not too different to a long-term Sky customer always paying the full whack for the top package and me swanning in as a new customer and getting free Sky Sports 2, 3 and 4 for 6 months and then free HD for the 6 months after that really, is it? And incidentally I kept the sports and am now pondering whether to keep the HD. That's what this is all about surely, that and improving attendances and hopefully the atmosphere in the short-term.

We're still not buying Carlton Cole.

Cos that'll happen won't it?!? 'Alright mate, seen this deal the toon are doing, £207 for a season ticket!!! Wanna use my details?' 'Aye, cheers mate!' 'Nee bother, cost ya £50 (or whatever!!!)' They'd tell you where to go. So even though it's only available to existing ST holders by no means are we going to come out of this better off in any way. I'd probably buy the person a few pints or give them £20 or something. Better than nowt. I can see where people are coming from with this but they're not filling the ground. As I've said previously there's a delicate balance between filling the ground and not pissing off season ticket holders. It'll go down well with my dad because he's bought one for my brother at a big discount but I can see why people would be a touch peeved. They'll be hoping they don't need to do as much stuff like this from next season onwards, that will be the idea here.

You know exactly where the whole thing's going with that phrase at the beginning.

We've had easy fixtures / they're still waiting for their superstar signings to settle and blitz the league. Daylight robbery.
