I know it's naive but am I the only one that doesn't give a shit about workrate? I just want a team that can ruin the opposition. We will win enough games being attacking as fuck.

tbf he usually puts in a good shift.

Love seeing Anita getting in the box. -
Remember when the manager of his national team commented negatively on him kicking it long for us. Doesn't he pass it out a lot more when he plays for them?
-
The solutions are so simple. It's not encouraging that he has to figure them out. For example, the set plays. For starters there are countless recorded games where you can take inspiration from - not to mention the other 19 teams in the league who you could look at for ideas. Research it, adapt it and use it. Even use the experience of our players who have played in various leagues. Some who have even won titles. I can't fathom why we have been so persistant with the Williamson play.

We just didn't get the breaks. Needed that bit of luck. Away to an in form team. etc etc. -
It's quite astonishing how many seemingly awful football managers are about. Where is the quality control? Not that Pardew is awful. I just mean generally.
-
Aye, Pards can stay if he agrees not to be in charge of coaching, have no say in player transfers, and match day formations & tactics. He can stay then.
-
True enough that Guthrie was massively underrated by the club. We could do with his passing and vision.

Not the point I'm trying to make. Our rise from that position has been pretty meteoric and we need a little perspective when we go on a poor run of form rather than throwing the toys out of the pram. All of this is has been brought about because we've lost two games on the spin and drew against a European side little of us know about but think we still should be beating anyway. In the context of what we've sat through in previous years this shouldn't really register. I understand and agree with concerns over performances and tactics but all this chatter of sacking the manager is simply bizarre and reminds me that there is a section of our fanbase who do their utmost to justify the media's obsession with deluded Geordies. Gotta agree with this. I'm very concerned at the moment but Pardew earned my trust last season, just got to hope he's competent enough to deal with this pressure and sort the team out. I think those yearning for a manager change need to be cautious in what they wish for. If Pardew goes who realistically will want to work for Ashley? I'm not sure working for Ashley isn't exactly that bad. According to Pardew - he has next to no communication with him. We have a decent team with good players. Aye, so he doesn't make a load of money available for the players we need, but I'm pretty sure 90% of football clubs are guilty of that.

It's funny, but this is the first time I'm grateful that a majority of our fans are kneejerkers.

Must drive Graham Carr nuts seeing his players playing such shit football.

He should play anywhere he wants.

Still no shot on target though? -
'If we scored I think we would have won' - I fucking hate this line he peddles every week.
-
Seems impossible to have a manager who wants to attack these days. He's just too safe, and seemingly blind as a bat.

Pardew is thick as pigs s*** though. Nice guy. edit: I'm tipsy. He's a canny enough manager.
