Our key games this season is now, Birmingham home and away, Wolves at home, and WBA at home. I see no reason why we can't take 12 points from those 4 games, plus we still have a few teams left to play where we might take the 3 points, or we will take the odd point from. I'm not saying we are safe but at this moment in time their is no real emergency, and we should be able to stay clear of the bottom 3.
-
Didn't we win 3 on the bounce?, West Ham, Sunderland, and Arsenal?
-
I was at the game today and neither team got out of 2nd gear and we won 5-0. West Ham are in deep shit, if they sell Parker then they might as well ask QPR if they want to take their place early because he was the only one who ever looked like he could create something.
-
Either in the whole or just off Carroll.
-
I remember seeing him play against Birmingham when they beat us 5-1 in the League Cup a few years ago. At the time he was so awful that I just wanted to punch him, and I was hoping that they wouldn't offer him a pro contract. How times have changed.
-
Isn't it 5 for a 1 game ban, and 10 for a 2 game ban, and 15 for a 3 game ban, etc?
-
Selling Carroll would be a statement of no intent. That for the players we are looking to sign, and have given long term contracts to would be devastating. For the future of this club, we cannot sell Carroll.
-
Spurs and everyone else can pretty much fuck off, I really don't think Carroll would even move, and if we did we would need another striker who could score at least 20 goals a season, and has proven it in the Premiership. That would be hard to find for £30m, and considering the wages it would take to bring whoever it was here in anyway.
-
SSN say we tell Spurs to fuck off after asking about Carroll. Keep it up lads.
-
I'm sure Carroll is on 4 bookings. No chance of him getting one before the Scum game though.
-
Knowing our luck it will be more like a 0.5 year contract.
-
It's 8 minutes into the day now and the fuckers still haven't confirmed it. Ashley, get your finger out of your ass and complete this signing now.
-
Bigg Market, to be honest though I'm not a fan of KFC. There is other shops I'd rather have on Northumberland street.
-
I've got to agree with that, but in reality both of them are fairly small and in a weird configuration. I'm surprised NUFC haven't taken advantage of the musical chairs game going on in ES, since ESS opened, having one larger store in the city centre plus the SJP store, while both Monumant Mall and the current ES store closed down.
-
It would make sense. Not many clubs have 3 club shops, never mind 3 in the city centre alone, plus the one in the MC. Monumant Mall has recently been sold, so maybe the owners have decided to change terms or change the direction the Mall is going. There has been a rumour out for a while that TK Maxx are set to take up the whole basement level, so maybe they want to have a level on the ground floor mainly for a more visible entrance.

At the moment I would say Wolves, Wigan, and West Ham. Theirs a few clubs around there who will stay around the relegation zone. West Brom, Birmingham, and Fulham I would say mainly. However as we have seen, 1 or 2 weeks in this league can shake things up down there, but those 6 clubs will be the big contenders I think.

That's a bit like saying if James Perch wins us the game I'm all for it. If Keegan couldn't get goals out of Smith what makes anyone think Pardew will? Like I said, it's about time he scored for us. Anyway it doesn't matter, this is Wigan away. We are so unlucky here that even if we scored 10 goals today we'd probably still lose.
-
Krul Saylor Williamson Coloccini Enrique Barton Tiote Nolan Jonas Ben Arfa Carroll That is without seeing Gosling play for us though.
-
If he wins us the game I'm all for it, it's about time he scored.
-
"That is nothing but speculation...." "But Chris, he's already at Newcastle on loan" "I am not aware of this." To be fair, I think Hughton may have only found out about it when it was in the papers that he had signed on loan, knowing Ashley.
-
Ben Arfa confirmed in the morning?
-
Apparently the FA have been on holiday since just before Xmas, and they don't come back until tuesday I think it is. Anyway that means no player can be registered until Tuesday, so he shouldn't be able to play. Then again just because he can play against us that means he will and probably score against us as well.
-
Even more surprising is the fact that it's wrote by the same people who write the Journal and the Sunday Sun who all think it's going to happen.
-
This would be great it if it happens. However, this is NUFC, and only NUFC can fuck things up that have never been able to get fucked up in the first place.
-
I expected to lose against both Man City and Spurs However this game is big but it was always going to be big because Wigan were always going to be a relegation rival. It's about time we won at Wigan, what is it now, 6 years and we haven't beaten them at home in all that time.
