Well we've had a good habit of kicking our asses into gear around this sort of time of the season. I'm not so confident this time though. Something's wrong behind the scenes IMO, and obviously on the pitch. A striker with pace would stop you being so obvious imo. Beckford has a bit but lacks the real quality to be a FT starter for Everton. It's been a problem of ours for a while - we're far too predictable. Yes it's nice to see how much more pleasing on the eye we've become over the past few years but a lot of the time when we're building an attack you just know it's not going to get anywhere, barring the opposition making a huge mistake. With Pienaar almost certainly off (very possibly in January), it's safe to say we have problems. Moyes has got a job on his hands and a big part of me thinks he'll think "fuck this", and knob off somewhere. Everton have nothing to fear really. A lot of players at that club just scream "Being able to get a result when it really matters". Cahill though is the player you need to look after. I reckon him and N'Zobia would work well together and would create more for your strikers. Saha needs to go though.

That's awesome but I'm too scared to put him in as I might jinx the poor lad. Remember that small patch in the season when he went a few games without scoring?, that was when I put him in my fantasy football team, needless to say he didn't score until the very game after I took him out of my team.

People on here have already said that if we keep our core players, then we should be ok and have no real problems. However don't underestimates Ashley's and Pardews capabilites of selling good players and replaing them with cheap imatations. Januray is going to be a long month for us, and by that I don't just mean the amount of fixtures we have/could have.

Yeah I'd have to agree that it's a pretty pure decision, but whats it got to do with potential targets?

Nolan scores, drinks are on Messi.
-
If we brought in someone like O'Hara as a replacement then great, let him go, if we brought someone in who isn't good enough then it would be a pretty bad deal letting him go in January.
-
It's not too bad if we reinvest the money well, however I have no faith in Pardew being able to do that.
-
Fuck off Alan Pardew Oh what can it mean?, to a shit football manager and Ashleys bum chum?
-
All this stuff about "he doesn't care what the fans think" "he'll get on with the job at hand" being spouted in the press is absolute bollocks. The fans will make his position as uncomfortable as possible and that, with the lack of money and the hostility when we lose shit loads, will mean he'll hate it because his big ego won't be being satisfied. I'll give him til my birthday (end of March). I'll give him untill my birthday, December 27th.

This is going to be like when Bolton appointed Megson as manager, no mater how well they played or did the fans will always call for his head, sooner or later it will result in him going. Fuck I've just had a hrroible thought, Megson is currently out of a job.

I wish this bloke would piss off already.

Premier League points.

You should try taking driving lessons off him.

It's the club I love, Ashey and Pardew will go long before I do. Where will we be when they do go though is the question. I'll never turn my back on this club.
-
I hope the cunt fucks off now. Obviously it's not going to do us any good shouting abuse at him, but no doubt the fans will be right on his back after every dissapointing result.
-
To be fair I did say "I", as in a bloke on the street, not someone who has been a football manager before. Ashley's biggest problem isn't he contract, it's for them to trust him not to change the rules midway through the game, hence why I think a lot of targets won't even sit down with him to discuss a contract.
-
Exactly, and its a nice mask to hide behind at the same time - 'Im not going to do a Portsmouth etc'... but its all cost cutting to make the club attractive for a buyer. Well, people are fed up with them anyway, so making the club as attractive for a buyer as possible might not be a bad thing if this is indeed the case. It isnt, though the club is effectivley on hold until he does. And this is while he is, most likely, asking for a stupid price. And thats where we should try & force that price down by boycotting. This, but we need a manager that keeps the club on hold in the Premiership.
-
I don't think I would go there on those terms, not that they are a bad terms or anything, just I wouldn't trust Ashley not to change the rules.
-
If that was a players contract then everyone would be praising him, whats fucked him up though is not the fact that it's a bad idea in theory, it's the fact that his controls over transfer funding, wages etc will forever mean that the club can't be successfull, atleast not in the way he wishes judging by his choice to sack Hughton.

SSN just before. In the Champions League this week, AC Milan face Martin Jol's Ajax.
-
I remember after we beat Villa 6-0 saying that if it was a dream then don't wake me, well feel free to wake me up because this is some fucking scary nightmare.
-
Just seen on SSN him getting in to his car, an old shape VW Golf, the amount of money he has, christ Ashley even appoints tight ass morons.

I've just had a horrible thought, Dowie.
