A word of warning, next years Arsenal home shirt is £80, long sleeved version is £85.

It’s Beavertown who brew inside their stadium. When I went for the NFL it was Neck Oil, and another that I couldn’t remember which they had. They usually do a special, but it’s not a Spurs exclusive.
-
It’s one of the questions mate. ’Are you pooping?’
-
Aye, it’s not the best, but it’s a step up from Carling/Fosters that people drank exclusively 10 years ago or so. Some of the Beavertowns are fucking ace. They did a limited edition one that me and my lass loved, but I quite like their alcoholic free one.

I said this a few months back. If you sign up to YouGov, they are offering a £50 voucher, which includes Adidas as an option. It takes some time to build up points, and maybe too late to start now for this seasons stuff, but maybe worth it for future years. I do the polls when I’m on the toilet.

So in the Adidas section of the website, all the pictures are of the 1996 grandad collar kit, and there is a pin badge of that kit in the accessories section. So either they are remaking that kit, or they have fluffed us all with fake leaks and we’ll be getting something similar.

Amazing that some people on here are suggesting that we play in that shipping container stadium from Qatar whilst we rebuild SJP, yet make a little noise about shipping containers being used for a temporary store that is only going to be there for 3 months whilst our current store is refurbished, or the stack where we will have temporary fanzone until they can expand/rebuild SJP.

I remember watching it on SSN, and I was doing the maths of it. I realised at the time that they were mathematically down because of another fixture the in following weeks meant that they couldn’t catch both teams above them. SSN didn’t realise for a few hours, even their own fans were getting home and thinking they could still stay up, and about 10 threads on RTG once they realised asking how they were down.

Aye, means if you take the 40 point target, you need to get 55 points. Even if you lower it to 35 points, it’s still 50 points. So a newly promoted club would need to hit European form just to stay up. In saying that, if the points total for safety repeats last season, Leicester could easily do it.

Because they are in a bit of limbo with no clarity from the Premier League over m how they can finance their new stand. The Everton situation has thrown it all up in the the air, and if it’s true that interest on loans for stadium/infrastructure is not detectable, then they may need that extra £20m per year to finance their new stand.

Out of everything I have seen from Adidas, they have not put a clubs badge on a patch on either recent clubs shirts, or next seasons as is shown in the video. Puma did for us, and Castore did for the players versions, but Adidas seemed to have stayed away from it. In saying that, everything else is like all the leaks have told us.

That is 100% a DH Gate bag.

Premier League clubs will be asked next week to agree to new financial proposals aimed at boosting English sides’ competitiveness in Europe. The proposal, put forward by Crystal Palace, aims to give clubs such as Aston Villa — who were surprise qualifiers for the Champions League — more flexibility around spending and financial losses. Uefa’s coefficient payments are based on a club’s past ten years of results in European competitions. For the 2023-24 season, for example, Manchester City received £28million while Newcastle United were given only £3.8million. Aston Villa will be in a similar position to Newcastle next season after qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since 1983. Palace’s proposal, which targets the “artificial” impact of those coefficient payments, would alter the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), allowing clubs to claim the difference in coefficient funding between themselves and the top club in Europe as allowable losses. That could allow Villa, who are believed to be close to the line in terms of breaching PSR’s maximum £105million losses over three years, an extra £20million-£30million in allowable financial losses. Newcastle, who failed to get out of the Champions League group stage, have claimed they were hamstrung in the tournament by needing to keep within PSR limits. Palace’s chairman, Steve Parish, has long argued that Uefa’s coefficient payments are unfair and, unlike the Premier League’s payments structure, are not based on merit according to the season just played. The proposal will go to the Premier League’s annual meeting next week, where — as revealed by The Times this month — Villa will also try to convince clubs to raise the PSR limit from £105million to £135million. The move by Palace is regarded as an alternative plan that would help Villa but not change the general PSR limit. Uefa is reducing the size of coefficient payments for the new Champions League format that starts next season but it is still not clear exactly what they will be. The Premier League’s annual meeting near Harrogate will also vote on a proposal by Wolverhampton Wanderers to scrap VAR. Although most clubs are expected to vote against Wolves, there is a general sympathy with some of the points raised by the club. Wolves have sent a six-page document to the other 19 clubs in support of their proposal. It claims VAR is damaging the reputation of the league. The document states: “Since the introduction of VAR, we are giving oxygen to those who suggest that the Premier League and PGMOL [Professional Game Match Officials Limited, the referees’ body] are corrupt, and this is damaging the reputation of our league. “Under the current version of VAR, it’s impossible to solve the problem because people often distrust referees who are far removed from the pitch and cannot experience the game as those present do. “The involvement of multiple referees in decision-making increases suspicion of corruption, as accountability is dispersed, making it easier to shift blame. Fans also expect technology to be 100 per cent accurate and when VAR fails to meet this expectation, it’s harder to justify and explain the inaccuracies, leading to greater dissatisfaction and mistrust.”

Castore stuff will be job lot sold to discount retailers, TK Maxx, M&M Direct, and even possibly that mystery football shirt company.
-
Every single betting company does this.

Who the fuck are Quidd?
-
Crystal Palace co-owner Textor has instructed people to sell his 45% share of Crystal Palace, so he can buy Everton.
-
I have a solution for them, give us the spot.
-
If it was a way of sponsoring the club without sponsoring, then yeah.
-
The queue for the shirt printing will start on Wednesday, by the time you walk out it will be Saturday/Sunday.

No idea why they went with him. Did what he was expected to get Norwich promoted, then went and got relegated without much of a fight. Nothing he has done has shown him to be able to do anything in the Premier League, which is surely Leeds’ main aim.

Finished 4th didn’t they?

Update. Just saw another Newcastle fan here. Also saw a 2nd Arsenal shirt, a couple more Man Utd fans, a West Ham fan (fully decked out), and a kid wearing a PSG top.
-
Yeah, I’ve been here since Friday and I just generally get the impression that football isn’t even that big of a deal around here. Someone below me mentioned they thought Chelsea would be popular here, since my post earlier I have actually seen a kid wearing a Chelsea training top. In general I just don’t think it’s as popular. Even in term of Crawley who have had a fairly big takeover in recent years, and last week played in and won a play off final. There is nothing around here to indicate that it even happened. In North Shields, where I live, our pubs still have the windows painted from the EFL Cup final last year, and in some cases refreshed with a Champions League painting. I saw a kid with a Man Utd top on here after they won, just going about like any ordinary day. A little kid, he mustn’t have been around when they last won the league, but they still win cups to an extent that there is no real excitement at all.

I’m currently in Crawley for the weekend, aside from a lower league team they are not really a catchment area for any club. Brighton have apparently gained more popularity in recent years, and apparently Palace are also popular, although I haven’t seen anything on the latter. So far I have seen a few Man Utd tops, an Arsenal top, a Benfica top, and a Sporting Lisbon top. My fiancée’s father is a Spurs fan. I have also seen 1 Brighton training top. Amazingly though yesterday we were sat outside a cafe and my fiancée pointed out someone wearing a Newcastle top, I briefly spoke to him and he has an aged NUFC tattoo. Not sure why he supports us, I never got the chance to ask him, certainly didn’t have a Geordie accent.
