1,000 companies expressed an interest in becoming our front of shirt sponsor. 800 followed it up with further talks. 100 companies made an offer, that was whittled down to the highest offers, that was whittled down to 3, which were of equal value, SELA was chosen because they wanted to partner with us on various projects, where as the others just wanted to pay money.

Looks like he’s made a few articles up for Football Insider recently.

Myself, club wise I’m not concerned, I think we are doing what we can under the rules, and they still want to develop us as fast as possible. It’s all gone as much as we could expect, this summer aside, but I think they will make it clear to everyone involved that we can’t have a repeat of it. I’m concerned about the stadium though, or more impatient. The stadium does need work done to it, it has for 10 years now. To a lesser extent I’m concerned about the training ground, however so far it doesn’t seem to have been a barrier for us under our new owners. The constant cock teasing about new sponsorships, and stadium news being imminent, and not actually being imminent has got to stop though.
-
On the flip side, they maybe should have been promising information on it for the last year, and recently come out saying the results are imminent?

The whole area is ripe for redevelopment as well.

To be fair, all the journalists are saying that they expect something with SJP being done to be the preferred option, and the one they are leaning towards, however I suspect that largely comes from when Staveley, and Ghodoussi were here, and obviously before anyone has had a chance to survey what can actually be done with SJP. SJP has been left behind, sure in the early 2000’s it was one of the best football stadiums, but now it’s not. The concourses are too small, the seat pitches in some areas of the ground make Ryanair blush, the amount of female toilets available for the increase in female attending is no longer enough. There isn't enough room for people to queue for food and drink, alongside consuming it on the concourse, everyone going to the toilets, people leaving and entering the concourses, and walking through. There isn’t enough corporate facilities for where we aim to be, and also for current waiting list demand, heck we are still getting some corporate hospitality to walk up a narrow staircase that is enclosed with corrugated metal sheets. We can’t just make the Gallowgate end mirror the Leazes, and reclad the rest of it. SJP needs major work, major reconfiguration, which from the outside is unlikely to be able to be done on the footprint we have available. It is being left behind, in terms of capacity alone, we are off where we used to be. Leeds, like it or not is going to be competition for hosting events if they get a similar capacity, and can offer better facilities. None of our fans issue, or impatience on the matter would be so bad if we haven’t heard for the last year that they are preparing to tell us what they want to do with the stadium, including that survey sent out a little while back, and then on top of those being told that the results are due imminently 6-8 weeks ago. This is on top of Man Utd making big statements about their stadium, Leeds saying they are going to expand, Everton about to move in to their new stadium, Liverpool in the process of rebuilding theirs, Spurs who were below a couple of decades possibly having the best stadium in sport, etc. The vacuum of information, especially after being told we will be given it is what is pissing me and a lot of people off, because we have saw it all before with Ashley.
-
The trouble is though, I don’t think it will just be an increase in cavity that they will be doing. They will no doubt be fixing all areas of Elland Road, and bringing it up to standard. Their owners are NFL owners who have recently built a new stadium, and know the value of what that brings.

Should be on £35k minimum. £35k should be the minimum wage, how the fuck people are expected to live off less than £2k a month with prices these day is beyond me.
-
They have been told that for ages, however they’ll get every penny thrown at them for the developments around it, and the government will come to the rest of us up North and say that they have levelled us up.
-
Leeds United have just announced plans to expand to 53,00. We are getting left behind here unless they come up with a plan.

I honestly think that was a honking shirt. I was excited for it at the time because I was a kid. The gold was supposed to be classy, but just looked fucking tacky, and it was evidence that our main colour should be black, with white stripes, not white with black stripes. The downfall and rot after SBR’s team had finally settled in by then as well. It was also the first shirt to replace felt sponsors, and stitched on Adidas 3 stripes, with prints as well.

Like the FA Cup, they always get picked because only the televised games in the U.K. are shown abroad, and they kind of have to have every single Man Utd game available for the foreign market. They shouldn’t, the League, and the FA should be encouraging an uptake in fans across the board, but TV distributors demand Man Utd.
-
Yeah, likely to change in the coming years. I’d imagine they will want to expand the WSL to more teams, and more clubs are backing their women’s teams.

I’ve banged the dum for the lasses a little while now. Whilst I only go to the odd game here and there, I have to admit it’s a good atmosphere for families. It’s much more friendlier, and welcoming to families than say non-league, and obviously much more accessible than the mens team. You can’t compare them to the mens team, I’m sorry, it’s naturally different, and I’ve said it before, unfair to do so. Watching them, and comparing them to the mens team is like watching non-league and saying they would never be able to do it in the Premier League, or watching Futsal and saying they would never be able to make it on a full sized pitch. You have to accept that it’s different, and just desire for the lasses to be the best they can be, rather than always comparing them to the men. In my opinion, the people who are derogatory or look down on the women’s game, are generally the people who have never seen a woman’s match, not watched one for years, or watched 20 minutes of one, and will never watch it again. Basically the woman’s games biggest critics, are the people not watching the women’s game.

Aye, rather see the Man City fans who were following them in League One when Man Utd, and Liverpool were mopping up titles to see another title win, then Arsenal fans who a few years ago were saying an FA Cup isn’t enough to class as success to see 1 title win.
-
Go on Arsenal fans, go fucking on, start your fucking whinge fest you pathetic mute librarian pricks.
-
Get the fuck in! I fucking hate Arsenal.
-
Nah, not at all. They are North London, they will bottle it. Just when you think they won’t, is when they do.
-
Heads are down, even early in the 2nd half.
-
Merse, we need to send players off left, right, and centre if that’s what to takes for them to finally stop doing those fouls, and time wasting. Lets not forget, that Arsenal were one of the ones arguing for these yellows for such offensives.
-
It wasn’t a red card, it was a 2nd yellow.
-
This, I hate people saying ‘It’s soft for a 2nd yellow’. No, a yellow is a yellow, it doesn’t matter if it’s your 1st or 2nd. Arsenal fans are going to be whinging about this for fucking decades, especially if Man City go on to win.
