I expected Leeds to run away with it, but it looks like they have lost too many players in the summer to do that. Luton seem to have imploded, and so do Coventry compared to last year. It’s opened it up for 1 or 2 teams to have a decent season and come up, despite being nowhere near good enough to come up, Sunderland, and Sheffield United being prime examples so far. It’s a sad world where WBA are looking to be one of the better options for promotion.

They sold most of their players, leaving them with only 3 players who stand out. You could argue that none of them are leaders as well.

I also think it was rather a tight game. I was on the edge of my seat, even when the ball was nowhere near the goal, hoping that when we never had the ball, we could get it back, or when we did have it, that we could make that break away. In those circumstances, I for one am far less likely to be on here and make a post. I’d imagine it would be similar for everyone else watching on TV.

They quickly brushed aside the 2 penalties decisions. I think the 1st one was handball, but it was likely a case of it bouncing up to hit his hand. Still though, the fact that they quickly dismissed them just shows that they never actually checked them. I have noticed that so far this season, the non-top 6 teams don’t get the huge amounts of stoppage time in their games anymore, but the top 6 teams get a fuck load of it still if they need it. Man City have had loads of stoppage time in their last 2 games now, I think it’s 16 minutes between their 2 games of us, and Arsenal.

Very much so, in the first half in particular we pressed them high up the pitch, they got a goal against the run of play, and out of nothing. That’s the difference between a team like them and us though, they have that ability. It was one of those games where if they had won, you couldn’t knock us, and would accept that they just have that quality that we don’t have. If we won, Man City couldn’t have had many complaints, and a draw is probably the right result. If we play like we did today against the rest of the league, we’ll start bouncing teams, and finish high up the league.
