  1. Steve Parish fucking hates us and loves FFP as it means he can keep all that pension money that the fans gave him so that he could save invest in Palace without much threat. The only reason they would have abstained is because a couple of weeks ago they came to an agreement with Sainsbury’s which allows them to build their new stand. They are obviously worried that they now can’t.
  2. Even if I took away how I saw through him during our takeover saga, you can’t look at what he’s done objectively and say that he’s done a good job. The Premier League has always been a little bit of a pantomime, but now he’s turned it into a weekly one.
  3. During his tenure Masters has overseen two new domestic TV deals, one which was sold for the same value as the existing deal without going to tender, the only deal at the time to not increase in value. The second deal has been sold at below the same year to year value (increasing the number of years in the process). A deal which many clubs are unhappy with and are complaining that the Premier League was not receptive of streaming providers. Not to mention that during the pandemic he tried to introduce PPV for games when people had nothing to do or watch, as well as not being able to attend games. A decision he had to go back on only weeks later. 1 club has been docked 10 points for failing to comply with FFP, even though the Premier League themselves had their own accountant sat in the room with the clubs accountants. He brought in Hoffman to prevent the takeover of Newcastle on behalf of 5 of the top 6 clubs. Hoffman was effectively sacked when it failed. He has seen the top 6 attempt to steal control of football in England, of which he was included in discussions of. Just months later the same top 6 also attempted a breakaway for the ESL, of which he did fuck all to try and prevent, even giving them the opportunity to determine their own punishment. He has lost a long standing symbolic sponsorship deal with Nike as the ball supplier to the Premier League. He has seen the Premier League subjected to legal challenges by Ashley, and at the time our prospective owners. He is now on the verge of taking the Premier League to court against the likes of Everton, and Man City respectively. He has allowed Burnley be bought with their own money, only to ban such deals a few months later. He has failed to come to a deal with the EFL over future payment structures, an issue that has been ongoing for years now. He has went into parliament and called certain clubs small clubs. He had failed to implement the automatic offside that the Champions League has, as well as the World Cup, this lead to some disastrous decision, such as the Liverpool no goal. He’s been an absolute fucking disaster and doesn’t have a fucking clue about what he is doing. How the fuck he got the job in the first place is beyond anyone, especially when his record wasn’t said to be clean with the ECB. How he is still in the position is even more baffling.
  4. Makes no sense. They could probably get one of the Milan clubs for that much with a bigger prestige.
  5. So it looks like PSG are to build a new stadium. It will be interesting to see how they fund it considering UEFA’s rules, which the Premier League are looking to implement as well.
  6. Ours is at least £40m per season. It is said to be worth over £200m over 5 years, which is £40m minimum per season.
  7. The Ian Huntley kit is maybe their most iconic shirt.
  8. Aye, Footyheadlines are saying it’s a fake.

Yeah, interestingly in recent years UEFA have lifted their ban on alcohol within sight of the pitch. I wonder if our government will consider a similar move, surely you would think that the clubs themselves will be pushing for it.

Absolutely sick of people with this brick by brick nonsense. It’s clearly piece of limestone by piece of limestone.

You might think that, but their TV money far exceeds that of the Premier League (possibly helped by adverts), and the match-day income is higher as well. All the owners of the Premier League clubs, and major clubs around Europe will be looking at what the NFL does and trying to replicate parts of it.

I never said I did, I just said that I can see it coming. Clubs will be trying to compare their income streams with that of the NFL and will be asking why NFL teams get more money from food and beverages etc.
  13. Freedom of speech is related to being persecuted by your government/authorities. Because our government doesn’t carry out torture, and executions, this generally means freedom from prison. This only applies for government and local authorities though, it doesn’t apply to private companies, there is also exceptions to hate specific hate speeches etc. Now if you say that your boss is a wanker, then you’ll not go to prison for that. However the company you work for are free to dismiss you, and prohibit you from their premises. In this case NUFC are free to ban her from the stadium. For what it’s worth, she has said all this on a social media account which is basically her displaying a full on NUFC persona, describing them in her bio, pictures of her in NUFC merchandise, attending games etc. Everything about it, and including her name on there at one point was NUFC orientated. I’m lead to believe that she is a similar age to me, if so then she should know better than to say the things she did. On top of this, if she went to high school around here, and was open about her sexuality, then there is little doubt that she herself would have been on the receiving end of similar abuse. Come to think of it, was she not the one that was upset when Wraith and his mates were having a pop at her for her sexuality?
  14. Maybe read up on what freedom of speech is.

Yeah, in the NFL a game can last 3 hours or more. Plenty of people not getting just 1 or 2 drinks and 1 hotdog, but much more drink and possible 2 rounds of snacks. I do wonder if clubs will push to have a longer half time break of say 30 minutes, so people have more time in the stadium and they can shift more drinks and snacks.
  16. They absolutely wouldn’t have. The piracy ended long before the ‘agreement’, and the feeds and subscription through BeIN was restored before then as well. What swung it our way was that on the Friday before, a judge allowed for evidence against the Premier League to be used, and to be used publicly. Evidence that the Premier League did not want to be used.
  17. So considering a club can get into fucking massive amounts of debt, see Man Utd with them having a debt somewhere between 6 and 10 years worth of Premier League income. This would mean that so long as we got a 0% interest loan, then we could pay it off in instalments and never run the risk of running foul of FFP.
  18. They would only supply it on the condition that it can’t be applied to existing developments.
  19. Ronaldo’s team has signed a deal with Adidas.
  20. I mean his best offer was from Luton town who everyone expected to finish 20th, and who are 4th from bottom at the moment, only out of the relegation zone because of Everton's points deduction. It’s not like I’m alone in thinking he’s not that good.
  21. Why has Harvey Elliot got an FA Cup shirt on?
  22. Aye fucking fair whack, that was fucking lush.
  23. When I saw them last month, I remember being impressed with both our number 9, and 14.
