Any point in watching this tonight? I’d imagine this will be a routine win for Chelsea.
-
Because Alonso is going to Liverpool.
-
It wouldn’t apply for the Blackburn game though, would it?
-
Aye. I don’t know the tactics or can read a play, but I know the basic rules and game reasonably understand what is happening.
-
Fuck sake, sickening bastards.
-
Shall I send out my Ellie cat, or my Bennie cat to deal with it?
-
Aye but in their defence they are looking at how the Premier League are clamping down on us as soon as a journalist says we are linked with either a player, or a sponsorship deal, they vote to block it. I think Villa are aware of this, and are not wanting to pop their heads up incase they go after them as well.
-
I think Villa are like us, they don’t really agree with it, but they are less likely to want to rock the boat. Palace love it, but for them, and for Villa, the proposed stadium infrastructure being included in your costs, fucks them over. It was only a few weeks ago that Palace had agreed to buy a car park off Sainsbury’s so they could build their new stand, it’s currently in the tender process. Villa have had to put the brakes on their stadium improvements, despite them citing they want fans in if they get into the Champions League, I doubt that’s the reason.

Aye, I honestly think we’ll get the Super League, but we’ll end up with a closed Premier League. Americans owning loads of teams now, not just the top 6. People like Parish at Palace will be happy to be locked in to the money, plus also being able to sell Palace if they are on the right side of the relegation line when it comes into play. The Premier League will be looking at what the NFL are doing and want to have a piece of that. Bigger TV money, a Premier League online store where they sell merchandise from all the clubs directly, even games abroad. The European teams will end up wanting to do similar and it will be go either way if they just end up replacing the Champions League, or if it’s in place of their domestic leagues.

I still fancy us to give them a good game at OT later in the season. We could do the triple over them this season.
-
Based on likely not catching Villa, surely we need them to win, or maybe a draw?
-
Is it really a new channel or just a rebrand when tournaments are on, like the NFL one?
-
Barnes is pretty good, but we lack RW’s with an end product.
-
He was playing with his back to goal, instead of coming on to through balls, he’s never been able to play with his back to goal.
-
I still think it could have went either way and I can see why Forest would be raging, we would be. However the attacker had virtually stopped, he wasn’t going at any pace. I’m still a firm believer that contact doesn’t always equal a foul, but when you see the likes of Liverpool etc always get them because of ‘intent’, you always start to feel like you should have one. I think they screwed themselves over because in the first half they were in a similar position and their player dived to try and get a penalty. I think that would have been in the back of the referee’s mind.

Oh right, fair enough.
-
Eh, did we not draw against Arsenal away last season?
-
Only 5 points off the same stage last season. Fucking hell, all we had to do was beat Luton both times and we’d be on course.
-
Need to cash in on him and replace him in the summer. He’d be great for any mid table team, even a relegation candidate, he would single handedly keep a team up with his goals, ala Defoe at Sunderland.
-
Dan Burn was playing as a pushed up LWB, closer to the halfway line than our own box. Schar went into the number 10 position at times. Wilson played the Shola back to goal getting ready to bring the ball down role.
-
Not far off that is being knocked off our 3 year account figures from our first transfer window under the new owners.
-
Richard Masters apparently facing the axe. A number of clubs want him gone, no doubt it will be the top 6, but I’m guessing it will be us as well who will never take to him.
-
Points deduction aside, they’ll stay up I reckon. They got 2 goals out of fuck all today and had spells after each of them where they were the better team. That will be enough against some of the shit at the bottom.
-
Southgate is getting giving a new contract apparently. I guess the FA will consider it a success so long as we get to the quarter finals, so therefor he’ll take us into the 2026 World Cup.
