It’s pretty damning that the known whingers on Twatter who have season tickets, and hold non-season ticket holders with control are all against this. Aye class, so it’s great for you to say to fans of other clubs that your club has a 52k stadium, and 35k waiting to get in, but you just don’t want to let any of those 35k in and keep skating them over things like the ballot etc which doesn’t even effect you. Honestly though, as a former season ticket holders (over 2 different periods) and as a member, I want my email, and to have my say. Not fair that they are asking people who already have a season ticket, but not asking their potential new season tickets holders who they would be increasing the capacity for.

Nah, I’d rather something like Spurs stadium, or the Lucas Oil Field. We’ll probably go for something like Atlanta’s though.

This. If we are building a new stadium, be it new SJP or not, we are not going to be building a 60k stadium with 8k cinema sofa seats. It will be a 70k stadium with about 2k cinema sofa seats, and they will be placed in areas where the bars are located in anyway, plus the tunnel club that we’ll undoubtedly get.

Oh well, if it’s anything like some of the ballot emails, I’ll get mine on opening day of the new stadium.

Anyone got a link to it?

Depends, are we getting an Ikea stadium like the SOL, Riverside, or the more upmarket version of it The Emirates? If so then keep it on the shelf. If we get something like Spurs’ new stadium, aye get the lads on site now.

This, also on Leazes Park would be acceptable, and at the worst on the arena site. Like fuck would I be happy with a stadium at Silverlink though, despite the fact that I live around the corner from it.

I’ve been watching updates on the Baseball stadium in Toronto. They have done a decent job, but alas anything like that is not going to be viable until the U.K. government allows us to have alcohol at games.

For Supermarkets though and independent stores, newspapers are a massive loss leader. If I owned a shop, not a fucking chance I’d stock them.

He’s good on his day, but he’s not consistent enough, and as has already been said, he spits his dummy out when things don’t go his way. This why I said just after the game, the players who they have, and think are elite, are just good players, and the players they have who they think are good, are average.

You’d think that we would be 1 of 6 like. Man Utd always get chosen for the international broadcast, and you’d think Arsenal vs Liverpool will be another. You’ll have one with a lower ranked team, possibly Wrexham.
-
Safe to assume that this will be on TV?

Pretty mad to think that they only have 13 more league games until the season is finished, but it doesn’t finish until May.

It’s been said many times before, but the best comparison is Spurs. They were below in the table and in recent years standings when Ashley bought us. They had a stadium that was alright, but past it’s best. They now have had a team who have been close to winning things, established themselves in the top 4, brought in major commercial revenue including Nike throwing money at them, and pumping out Spurs branded stuff that nearly makes PSG blush. To top it all off they have built the world’s best sporting stadium, and have a new training ground/academy to match. There is absolutely no reason why a well ran Newcastle couldn’t have had the same, and I’d probably argue Aston Villa, and Everton into that as well. Alas Ashley well and truly did a demolition job on us, Villa suffered for their ownership, but are on the right track now, and Everton are trying to get there with their stadium, but still suffering. The squad and coaching staff we have now is nothing that wasn’t beyond Ashley if he wanted it. As someone has already said, we were a loss leader to him, like a newspaper in a supermarket, full of fucking shit, but brings the people in to spend their money.

Get the fuck in. We were hanging on towards the end, but that was great from us, we were the better team by far for about 75 minutes, some of the best I have seen us play. We have genuinely played worse this season and won 8-0. It would have been an injustice if Man Utd got something after that game, after doing fuck all and piggy backing on the fact that Pope’s injury rattled us a little.
-
We will 100% get Denmark, Netherlands, and Italy.
-
That’s what I’m thinking. Full strength us absolutely gives these a good hiding that they have deserved since time began. They will probably not have a better time to play us all season, much like the cup final in February.

Think it will be Miley.

All Go ahead busses are free if you get a day ticket today. Something to think about if you don’t have a Magpie Mover.
-
They are given 2/3 designated player spots which means they can offer players a wage outside of the wage cap. There will be a few clubs with DP slots available, but as you say, the problem is buying players. If Chris wood is £20m, and then £15m player, then Miggy is above that.

With New Year’s Day, you know as soon as the fixtures come out if you need to make plans for travel. This bus strike will have fucked loads of people up. If you have a car or live near the city centre then you are probably ok, but for people finishing work at 5pm, having to go home, and then back out again to the match in the space of 3 hours might be quite tight, not to mention the question of how you get back. I’m fully aware that their attendances are not what they make out, but there does have to be some leeway given to them tonight in my opinion.

In all fairness, the bus drivers strike has crippled Sunderland. Only 2 companies serve the city centre, and Go Ahead were the biggest. Stagecoach I believe focus on North or the river where there is less population.
