I’m not arsed about them. I think my experience in our away match in the Championship put me off then a bit when I was little bit ‘Yeah ok, they have a unique identity, give them the kudos’ attitude. They have massively sank in recent years, from going for Europe and wanting to be the best of the rest and playing good football, to just being a bit flat and full of nothing. So far this season they are the joint lowest scorers, were they lowest before the match today. Last season only the 3 relegated teams scored less than then, and for large parts of the season they were the lowest goal scorers. If the trend continues, they’ll fall through the trap door.

If you’ve been to Wolves away, then you’ll know that it’s no more than they deserve. Fucking hideous. No away fans in any pubs, police on the door of every pub, not doormen, actual police. A police escort out, and being goaded by their fans during the match. Absolute fucking awful away day, although we did win when I went.

Pretty evident why looking at today. They created nothing. A good save from Pope from a freekick, a good ball in the box that was dealt with by us, and one of those sorts that just happen from time to time for them to score their goal.

If we had Joelinton available then both him and Bruno against Shelvey would have been a rout.

I think we missed Joelinton today. Willock just doesn’t press enough. Many times today they were able to get away not because they won the 1st ball in the middle, but the 2nd. Usually if Bruno doesn’t get the 1st ball, then Joelinton will come across for it. Sometimes Longstaff will nip in for it or a defender as Joelinton and Bruno press others. They got away today a few times because Willock was not winning that 2nd ball or putting enough pressure on for them to pass it to someone covered by Longstaff or a defender.

Aye, didn’t they bring down our player in the box, should have been a penalty, not given, and they get go up the other end, get a corner, and score from it? I’m sure it was the point many of us were like ‘We need VAR’.

I honestly think the fact that he was going down early is why he never got a penalty. In all honesty though there is minimal contact from Pope, and not at his legs. If he went down later, he would have probably got a penalty and we couldn’t have had any complaints. Let’s call it fair game since we should have had a penalty at their place earlier in the season, and I also think our penalty shout also deserved more of a look at.

It’s absolute fucking bullshit though. Loads from Latin America wish to go to the USA. People from Asia wish to go the Middle East and Australia. Most people from Eastern Europe wish to go to Germany, and loads from North Africa wish to go to France. People who have more of a choice to go to different countries are finding places like Canada and the USA as places to live, to a lesser extent Japan, Korea, and Australia. The idea that all the immigrants want to come to the U.K. is a myth that’s not even backed up by numbers. We as a nation have simply made up that notion, and also in the case of the right wing amongst us, became afraid of it as well.

Football viewing is going to change massively in the next few years. The EFL will do away with their 3pm blackouts, and possibly sell to a streaming provider. Despite them saying they won’t follow up, the Premier League will do the same. The appeal of MOTD got a lot more limited once they allowed Sky to start showing highlights and a full game before MOTD started, then allowed highlights to be shown from 6pm online. The only way MOTD survives long term as a highlights show, is if they become like what Soccer Saturday is and show scores and goals as they go in.

I’m not sure how true it is, but apparently the BBC don’t have the rights to the world feed commentary, so the games won’t have any commentary on them.

No one wants them in the Premier League. I remember when we won the Championship in Ashley’s 1st Championship season, they were battling it out the survive with Sheffield Wednesday and I wanted them gone then. They survived though, look at the position of the two clubs now. At least Wednesday would have tried to push on.
