Babayaro?

Musk is more believable though. The guy has an ego to stroke. He’s well aware of media reports in the past and it’s easily something he would do just because some people say he couldn’t/wouldn’t.

This. Beats was their biggest acquisition, and that was for $3bn. As I’ve already said, they turned down the chance to buy the likes of Spotify, Netflix, Disney, and even Tesla. All of which arguably would fit into the holes in the market. They reason they did is because I they cost too much. Man Utd doesn’t plug a hole in the market. The best they would want out of them is say MUTV to be an exclusive on Apple TV+, Man Utd documentaries, and possibly Apple Wallet integration with ticketing. All of which can be obtained with less costly commercial deals. When Apple coke along for the Premier League rights deals it will go against them. The other clubs would not be happy with the TV rights being held by the owners of another team. As someone else has already said, someone has looked at a list of the wealthiest individuals and companies and just throw them in for the clicks.

The Daily Star. ? And people believe it. ?? They are even tweeting Tim Cook to urge it to happen. ?????

Came from the Daily Star. Not a chance Apple would be interested in buying a football club, it doesn’t fit with their strategy at all. They buy companies to enhance their products and services. When you consider that they have opted against buying Netflix, Disney, Spotify, and Tesla in recent years, it makes even less sense. On top of that, I doubt Premier League clubs would be happy that Apple would own Man Utd and be one of the leading bidders for the next Premier League rights.

One of the reasons why the Glazers may want to sell is because they can get in their minds, between $5bn-$8bn. That’s a lot of money and I know they have other sports interests, but that could be used to buy others teams or invest more in their existing teams. It could also be because they want the money, and also investment outside of sports. I guess you could argue that since buying Man Utd, they are not the global giant as much anymore. They pretty much only existed in that category with Barca, and Real. I guess in some markets you could throw Munich, and Benfica in there to a lesser extent. Now PSG are probably one of the most in your face brands being pushed. Man City as well are coming along into the fold. They are also no longer guaranteed to win most out 5 league title. Maybe they just don’t see how much more value they could create. The last point I made there is why I think it will be difficult to sell Man UTD. At between $5bn-$8bn, plus money for a new stadium (Old Trafford effectively needs to be rebuilt) and training ground improvements. The price then goes to somewhere like $6.5bn-$9.5bn. At that point the only way you are making your money back is buying keeping a hold of the club for 15-20 years for inflation to offset those cards. In this case it’s probably not going to be that appealing to investors, so you are really marketing towards rich fans (Radcliffe), and people/nations with ego’s that need to be filled (Dubai). Personally I hope they get Musk who fucks them over without any employees there to protect them (Man Utd) from him.

Aye, it was the same when Staveley’s interest was known. All of a sudden everyone knew her and in their words ‘Everyone has had a turn with her’. Now with Herdman, everyone knows him and everyone thinks he’s a cunt. So really what they mackems are saying is that they all knew a women who facilitated the takeover of Man City, helped bail out one of the UK’s biggest banks during a financial crises, and then got one of the richest public investment funds in the world to take over their neighbours. All along they knew her and never tried to get her to takeover their club instead? All along they knew one of the best up and coming managers, even had him on their books teaching the kids at one point, and none of them started calling for him to get the managers job?

Very very hit and miss. He can miss easy chances and score harder ones.

Your namesake would be disappointed in the latter of that sentence.
-
He wasn’t good enough really, that’s why he spent his career pretty much in the Championship.
-
As if, it would be done by the end of the day, be the only time Masters did anything.

I take an interest in them because of ties in Canada. They are not expected to get out of their group, but honestly, they would be the team waiting to slip in if one of the top 2 teams slip up.

A growing team. Their best talent are still quite young. This World Cup will probably but David in the shop window and it’s probably time now that he moves from Lille and tests himself in a better league. Davies is a great LB/WB who has been plagued by injuries over the last year. He may need to move away from Munich for 1st team football now. Overall the country is getting better and better at football. The new League is growing as well. Herdman absolutely deserves the manager job at club team.

I fucking hate people going down the middle when taking a penalty, pretty sure if you looked at stats it would be where most are saved/missed.

I’m not so sure. All the urban development started in Dubai, and they still have the signature developments over Abu Dhabi. I don’t think their investment fund portfolio is as big as ours or Abu Dhabi’s, but they’ll still have enough to buy Man Utd if they wanted.
-
Nah, it was sold out straight away. You could get corporate tickets for £30.
-
Fucking hell, 25,000 is a lot.
-
Dubai investment fund apparently interested in Man Utd. That might cause some ructions in the UAE.
-
PSG effectively put up for sale today as well.
-
I’m pleased for them, but only because it’s an underdog story and makes it difficult for Argentina to make it now. If there is a team other than England who I’m actively rooting for, it’s Canada.

Ideally we want a draw don’t we?
