Seen the prices of Greggs at services etc? I’m pretty sure Greggs would be comfortable marking a pasty up to £2 or more, although their mince pie are fucking rank.

I’m pretty sure that it was reported that West Ham, and possibly Man City gave Newcastle evidence that the Premier League were sending emails to the other 19 clubs. Then the face slipped and it was widely reported that they had phone calls etc with the other 19 clubs and that certain clubs were actively encouraging the Premier League and other clubs to force the takeover to be rejected. I think it’s all this which the Premier League were fucked against during the court case. I’m also pretty sure that we evidence that the Premier League weren’t exactly unaware and against the ESL proposals as they made out and that this was going to be made public during the court case. At one point wasn’t the judge even dismissing the Premier League’s arguments out of hand? What was going to be released during that court case is what forced the takeover through and it had fuck all to do with piracy being dealt with or assurances over ownership that the media and the Premier League made it out to be.

As I understand it, Coca Cola do not really do sponsorships centrally. I was reading one of their former CEO’s book during lockdown and he was saying that before he was the CEO, he was in charge of their African operations. They asked him to go and oversee the guy at the head of the South American market. Apparently he wasn’t communicating with them and they were on the verge of pushing him, they were also unhappy with what he was spending on Sponsorships. He went over there and found that he was doing a great job, the company was in a great position. The sponsorship deal was an amazing deal as well. He was able to sponsor the whole of the Brazilian league for $1m. The executives in Atlanta at the time obviously did not realise how popular football was outside of the USA and in particular in Brazil, they must have thought that he was giving some sort of school team $1m on sponsorship fees. ? Also, despite Coca Cola coming from Atlanta, I think surprisingly they never actually had a deal with Atlanta United. So for these reasons I doubt it’s previous connections that’s brought in the Monster/Coca Cola sponsorship.

Aye, hate it when people do that. I’m a fan of the club, and I’m able to separate my personal issues in regards to human rights from our ownership. Some people can’t and that’s up to them, it doesn’t make them any less of a fan. It’s a bit like those 16 year old kids who have a season ticket who are kicking off at those who used too. I’ve probably been to more games than they have, highly likely put far more of my own money into the club etc, but because I walked away from putting money into the club when Ashley owned us, it makes me less of a fan? Nah, we both have equal rights to refer to ourselves as a fan.

And Coke used to own Relentless but gave Monster its ownership when it bought about 20% of Monster. So to that mackem who is drinking relentless, thanks for the money.
-
Probably on Monday when England’s 1st World Cup match is played. Our media will be fully focused on the World Cup and England by then, plus I doubt they would take time out to criticise our sponsorships/ownership when they are in Qatar.
-
In all fairness Relentless is a better drink, still that’s is owned by Coca-Cola though.
-
I thought Coca-Cola only own the bottling/distribution rights?

Where was their sports washing excuse when they were literally cheering Man City winning their 1st title under their owners? You know when Man Utd had played Sunderland at the SOL, got beaten by Man Utd, and still cheered when Man City won.

Aye. If you told me that we would be 11 points clear of Fulham at this stage I’d think ‘Ok, that’s about miserable and should indicate that we are clear of the relegation zone’. I didn’t think we would be 3rd, and Fulham would be in the top 10 where I thought we should be aiming for.
-
It’s not that bad, plenty of trains available, going to guess the club would seek additional match day trains as well as putting on plenty of coaches.

Another example of weak refereeing there in the Liverpool match. Salah goes down in the box, immediately shouts at the referee and says ‘Fuck off’ to him when he doesn’t get the penalty. The referee should have booked him for the dive, then immediately given him the 2nd yellow and red for the abuse.
-
We did fuck all wrong today. The referee had been helping Chelsea all game and Chelsea were still losing and totally out of the game until they got desperate and knew they could get away with anything, so went right into the refs face trying to force more out of him. Our players stood up for themselves. It’s about fucking time we did, and it’s about fucking time every other team outside of the top 6 stood up for themselves like we did. The referee made and instigated what happened tonight, and it’s been happening for years and years and years. I’m surprised the bloke never got punched. In fact my GF who has never watched football until tonight actually said the someone should pinch him. She saw the Chelsea players going down without even being touched, and a couple of hours later she even said ‘I hate Gallagher’.
-
Figure of speech man.
-
The referee caused all that bother at the end with his shocking performance. He absolutely inflamed the whole situation. Rest of the world should be calling it out, absolute disgrace.
-
1st goal is vital. We scored and we go on and win, I fear if they score then they’ll have one of those games where they are not that good but end up getting a comfortable win.
-
Referee has went all out for them today, absolutely sickening, it’s too predictable now. How the fuck there isn’t major corruption investigations within the game is beyond me.
-
Other way round, that flag stays down and they let VAR decided, fucking scumbags.
-
Absolutely shitting it for this match now. I really really want us to win.
-
Haven’t Bournemouth lost a 2 goal lead the last 2 weeks?
-
A win here would be massive. On the face of it you would have to say that we’d be in a title race, although there’s a long way to go, haha.
-
Spurs new stand’s bottom row is the centre circle used to be on their old stand, and the back row is further back than the back row of their old stand.
-
Wasn’t the term created by the fans. It was originally the top 4, and said because they got all the TV games, and all the decisions from referee’s. Then Man City and Spurs joined the equation.

See this I don’t think will happen. Saudi Arabia is not a tourist destination as much as Dubai is. We also don’t have a large enough Muslim population for it be a hub where Muslims from the Middle East go to Saudia Arabia to visit friends, relatives, and even for pilgrimage. Newcastle doesn’t have enough connections across Europe to even encourage people to go via Newcastle, heck we don’t even have enough connections across the U.K. The airport already has a flight to Dubai and it is actually the freight from that flight that makes it financially viable. I’m not sure we’d get enough freight from Saudi Arabia to make it viable. It just seems to be a massively long stretch to think that they would be flying to/from Newcastle.

No bother. Of course there is the possibility of a club asking for dispensation for extreme circumstances, like a sponsor becoming toxic/found breaking the law, however I doubt the Premier League would entertain such a request from us for simply wanting more money.
