  1. Aston Villa are to be the next club for Castore. They seem to be getting a decent list going, they are also rumoured to be lining up Seville and Lazio.

4 years into League One and these fuckers are still deluded enough to think that they are big enough to postpone their games, despite it biting them in the arse at the end of every season so far.

    St James' Park

And that just so happens to raise £1bn in much needed transfer funds.
  4. NUST get a lot of stick because of what they didn’t do etc but people don’t realise what they did do. Greg in particular was key in trying to get the development behind the Gallowgate stopped via the NUST. Linda was good at getting the club to engage and acknowledge the female squad by updating the details on .co.uk, sharing their tweets etc. It even resulted in them promoting International woman’s day which gave the female side their biggest ever gate just before lockdowns. They so a lot of stuff behind the scenes that people don’t know about, but basically has their hands tied by Charnley and Ashley. It’s easy to get lost in the thought of them not being a protest group etc.
  5. Absolutely this. The fact that a lot of clubs go unpunished if they are a bigger club and in most cases just receive a fine which is either going to cripple a club that is genuinely struggling financially, or not be a barrier to teams deliberately overspending just proves the point. We literally have a scenario where let’s say a League 1 or 2 team who are entirely bankrolled by their owner could go on a massive cup run and enter Europe, but be denied because of FFP, because their owner has to bankroll them because revenues at that level are not sustainable. Man Utd were bought by borrowing money far above their value and getting them into debt, over £1bn worth in today’s money. By the rules of FFP they should be getting points deductions and being kicked of Europe and possibly the league. It’s ok though because they are Man Utd. Burnley got bought out last year via the same methods, and again they should face similar sanctions, but it’s ok because the Burnley owners are not going to invest all that much in the club and they are largely going to stay where they are. Leicester ran afoul of the FFP rules in the Championship and as a result should have been denied promotion or relegated later down the line. They had just won the league when the EFL got around to punishing them and were the publics favoured team etc, which resulted in them getting a very small fine. You then look at how the EFL and such treated Bury compared to Bolton. Both were facing insolvency for the same reasons at the same time. Bury, the smaller club of the two of them were denied the ability to play their games and gain much needed match day revenue and were not given extra time for takeovers to go through. Bolton were allowed to play their games and the EFL board sat around and gave them additional time and help to get a takeover pushed through. FFP and the running of football in this country is a fucking joke, it’s all done to protect the big clubs, it runs down from the FA, through the Premier League, EFL, and the referee’s association. The very moment the Premier League turned around and said ‘We don’t want any Leicester City’s’ should have been the moment they were disbanded. The same applies to when former referee’s came out saying they were instructed to give the advantage to the bigger clubs.
  6. It would literally be impossible to do it. How would you prevent one club from buying a player and loaning him? Unless FIFA got involved and changed all the transfer rules you couldn’t get away with it.

The weekend of our takeover I was in London for the NFL. Somewhere along the way I stumbled across an Arsenal fan who was trying to tell me that Sunderland fans now had a better moral upper hand than us. I then asked if he meant the same Sunderland fans who a week or so before held up a banner outside their ground saying that refugees were not welcome after some of them died crossing the channel. The same Sunderland fans who cheered and applauded a convicted child abuser because he had scored against us. The same Sunderland fans who made airplane motions after two of our fans died in a plane crash.

Not that I believe them but my mate used to work in a pub that had loads of our players come in, including Shearer. Apparently he was a tight bastard and used to try get free pints because of who he was, surprisingly though Andy Carroll was the most generous and would buy the whole pub a drink whenever he went up for one himself.
  9. Staveley has said that they were looking at them as alternatives to Newcastle, and have no interest anymore. Imagine if Qatar has succeeded in preventing them to buy us, but as a result had led to them buying Bordeaux and blowing PSG away.
  10. Yes. it’s just that we naturally see ours on our timelines on social media etc. Arsenal Fans TV was blasted by Arsenal fans long before they became popular outside of the Arsenal fan base.
  11. She got voted in, her campaign was decent but I’ve not seen what she’s done.
  12. I’m not a fan of Hurst at all, but he’s by far better than Burnsie. You are talking about a guy who was on TV saying Aliens probed his ass, and makes multiple Twitter accounts that spout made up lies and has arguments with his other Twitter accounts.
  13. Not so sure, but the club itself was expensive with the joint expense of the new San Siri to come and some alleged debt. It would be hard to recoup that money back because the TV rights for Serie A is small, and Saudi Arabia are the ones paying one of the highest broadcasts deals for them. Champions League revenue aside, they wouldn’t make all that much. It sounds very similar to Qatar’s takeover of PSG, it was between them and Leeds, with them still being linked with Leeds. Had Leeds not been where they were at the time and in the Premier League, they would have bought Leeds and a Premier League club over PSG. They have done well with PSG, but the domestic broadcast rights are pitiful. If they we’re given the choice now I think they would buy Leeds over PSG.
  14. Going to be weird if we get a Saudi Airline sponsoring us without them flying into Newcastle. Etihad began flights to Manchester when their sponsorship deal had started, Emirates had already flown into Heathrow when they began sponsoring Arsenal. Same with PSG and Paris Airport for Qatar, and Emirates fly into Milan which ties in with their sponsorship with AC Milan. I can’t see a flight from Newcastle to Saudi Arabia making commercial sense, we already have Emirates who have a wider connection hub, as well as Dubai itself being a more desirable destination.
  15. I wish people would just ignore it. Those questions aren’t going to stop, at least not for a long time and you are never going to be able to win the argument. Just ignore it. You have people like that Keith lad on Twitter making 20 tweets a day pointing the finger elsewhere and trying to deflect blame. It’s not our job to do that, we are football fans, not Human rights activists or politicians.
  16. I think his career path and the way he has worked to get where he is means he deserves a chance somewhere, even if it’s a Championship team or something.
  17. Aye, being manager of a national team, it would be a step down to go and work in the academy or with the female squad again.
  18. I’m going to say this, I’d fucking love for us to bring in John Herdman to manage either the academy or the females team and work his way up to being the long term successor of whoever we bring in.
  19. Come on mate, look at how some of your fans are going on and have hounded out managers since SAF left. You have had average squads since he left with the need for massive rebuilds, I actually think the squad you have now is the best since SAF and you guys are still way off a title challenge. Cup wins and a 2nd place finish wasn’t enough to keep Mourinho at the club by the fans.
  20. Who the fuck would manage Man Utd? Their fans will demand nothing short of the title without wanting to give a manager any time to build. The owners do not give a single fuck about the club, so long as the commercial ties to the club keep coming in.
  21. The company who owned it almost went bust and to save themselves, they had to sell that land. No one know who owns the company who bought that land, it has been suggested that it could be another Reuben’s company.
  22. Fucking hell, no one knew that went in.
  23. Man Utd are getting stretched here.
