  2. brilliant, this has to be done just realised this is my 1,000th post
  3. can see him being rushed back early now, hope i'm wrong or at least it dosn't lead to problems in the future.
  4. is the tribute program on iplayer? i can't seem to find it.
  5. i dont know, personally when i went through a really bad patch, when i considered suicide i thought it would be a relief to my family, so maybe he was like me and thought he was doing them a favour by taking his own life, not causing them distress by leaving his body for them to find. depression can take you to strange places... not that we know thats what it was.
  6. had to check the shop to see if they were availible, that would of been an awesome present to get the bird ( well for me anyway).
  7. might be worth getting in touch with those at nufc.com, they had an article recently asking people to write in if they wanted to know about other nufc fans in their part of the world.
  8. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/scotlandfeatures/2942508/Aisling-will-be-more-famous-than-her-dad-Martin-ONeill.html pardew will be all over that...
  9. http://nufc.com/2011-12html/attendance-all-time.html chelsea only a couple hundered ahead of us... and these figures are largely assumed to be innacurate.
  10. threat going forward, but our place in the league is based on our defence, just wasn't good enough imo.
  11. played well today, for him. fair play to him, didn't look bad for a 4th choice.
  12. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-16012781 clips of the best tributes from today + more, very emotional stuff. John Carver in bits.
  13. would of prefered it was tomorrow. but swansea will be fitting and glad his wife can make it and ultimatly her wishes are more important than ours.
  14. i think the hymn is also a good chance to stand and reflect though...
  15. the Hymn is in their for it's welsh links not for religious reasons. Also the club did mention they planned to talk to Gary's family about how best to honour him and clearly they must agreed with this.
  16. i assume we'll be using these words, not the ones used above for the welsh rugby team. Guide me, O thou great Redeemer, Pilgrim through this barren land; I am weak, but thou art mighty; Hold me with thy powerful hand: Bread of heaven, bread of heaven Feed me till i want no more. Feed me till i want no more. Open thou the crystal fountain Whence the healing stream shall flow; Let the fiery, cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey through: Strong deliverer, strong deliverer Be thou still my strength and shield. Be thou still my strength and shield. When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fears subside; Death of death, and hell's destruction, Land me safe on Canaan's side: Songs of praises, songs of praises I will ever give to thee. I will ever give to thee.
  17. sounds like a fitting tribute. will cetainly be a sad moment. football will certainly be taking a back seat on saturday.
  18. i assume they've just taken this interview http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15954876.stm and followed on from there. some journalists have no respect for the dead and their grieving families.
  19. bruce on the left Freddie shepherds hungrier sister. jesus, i had to go back up and check hadnt been photoshopped. spooky
  20. wow, amazing how one man can have an effect like speed has had. i don't think anyone could of known just how influencial he had been in his life.
  21. just listened to it now and it definatly is, the bits about Alan's wife being upset and how gary's dad followed him everywhere and were really close especially. As much as it hurts us as fans, you can't help but feel for his family and friends moreso, can't begin to imagine what their going through right now.
  22. might pop down to bramall lane, take it all in. still can't believe this has happened.
