http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/scotlandfeatures/2942508/Aisling-will-be-more-famous-than-her-dad-Martin-ONeill.html pardew will be all over that...

threat going forward, but our place in the league is based on our defence, just wasn't good enough imo.
-
played well today, for him. fair play to him, didn't look bad for a 4th choice.
-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-16012781 clips of the best tributes from today + more, very emotional stuff. John Carver in bits.

would of prefered it was tomorrow. but swansea will be fitting and glad his wife can make it and ultimatly her wishes are more important than ours.
-
i think the hymn is also a good chance to stand and reflect though...
-
the Hymn is in their for it's welsh links not for religious reasons. Also the club did mention they planned to talk to Gary's family about how best to honour him and clearly they must agreed with this.
-
i assume we'll be using these words, not the ones used above for the welsh rugby team. Guide me, O thou great Redeemer, Pilgrim through this barren land; I am weak, but thou art mighty; Hold me with thy powerful hand: Bread of heaven, bread of heaven Feed me till i want no more. Feed me till i want no more. Open thou the crystal fountain Whence the healing stream shall flow; Let the fiery, cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey through: Strong deliverer, strong deliverer Be thou still my strength and shield. Be thou still my strength and shield. When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fears subside; Death of death, and hell's destruction, Land me safe on Canaan's side: Songs of praises, songs of praises I will ever give to thee. I will ever give to thee.

sounds like a fitting tribute. will cetainly be a sad moment. football will certainly be taking a back seat on saturday.
-
i assume they've just taken this interview http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15954876.stm and followed on from there. some journalists have no respect for the dead and their grieving families.

bruce on the left Freddie shepherds hungrier sister. jesus, i had to go back up and check hadnt been photoshopped. spooky
-
wow, amazing how one man can have an effect like speed has had. i don't think anyone could of known just how influencial he had been in his life.
-
just listened to it now and it definatly is, the bits about Alan's wife being upset and how gary's dad followed him everywhere and were really close especially. As much as it hurts us as fans, you can't help but feel for his family and friends moreso, can't begin to imagine what their going through right now.
-
might pop down to bramall lane, take it all in. still can't believe this has happened.
-
Doesn't this rumour do the rounds every time someone dies? I remember it being told about or tribute to SBR. Maybe. I don't know. It's not a rumour like, it's fact. i remember that with Sir Bobby. i'm pretty sure someone got done for it in the end and rightly too.
-
so impressed with shay playing on despite clearly not being in the right frame of mind. Robbie Savage on Gary Speed on 606: "I remember when Gary took over as Wales manager and there were rumours I'd come back. I was on the phone to him constantly saying 'Speedo give me one more chance.' He said: 'listen, 10 years ago maybe.' I kept on and he said 'I'll give you one more chance' I said 'seriously?' and he says: 'Yes, we need a bus driver.'"

a minutes silence turned into a minutes applause. hope we dont have that mix up on saturday. indeed, an event as upsetting as this deserves to be treated solemnly, a minutes silence is certainly more appropriate than what happened today at Swansea, although it was nice and moving to see. i wouldn't want it repeated.
-
hope we all take note of what happened for Robert Enke after his tragic death. was handled really well imo, with dignity respect and a chance for fans to mourn and celebrate the life of another whos life was cut short. http://youtu.be/S7y4u5MoRK4
-
doubt its because of an impending news story tbh. didn't he discuss his battle with depression just after he retired from playing?
-
think everyone is.
-
at least with sir Bobby's death came with no surprise, and you could always of said he lived a happy life. like others have said, i just hope this brings to light the problems of depression, in and out the game.

jesus. absolutly shocked by this. RIP. true legend. top bloke.
