Yeah, like James Perch... We were linked with him back in January, even made an offer iirc. Oh, and it's HAVE not of.

The squad that are no longer in Ireland? This. I assume your source is unreliable. http://www.bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire/content/images/2004/10/28/david_blunkett352_352x470.jpg

If there is any truth in: Then the AA wont be coming to the North East. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11667_6253889,00.html I've not once heard Manu or Chelsea linked and I think its the papers putting a WC impresser with two big clubs together and making up stories. He'd get swallowed at Chelsea, get about 10 games a season in lesser ties while at Manu his rate would be slightly higher. He's much better off going to Sunderland tbh, or any medium sized club where he'd get 90% of games played to make a name for himself. Agreed. At this stage of his career, a move to a Manchester United or Chelsea would be dreadful. He'd be far better off going to a lesser team where he will be pretty much guaranteed a starting spot. I'd love him here to be honest. I could stomach him going to Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal but please god not to the mackems or Spurs.

Aye, I think he needs a full season, preferably in League 1 where he will get plenty of games under his belt and it might toughen him up a bit. Could be a big season for him.

Cole, Zhirkov, Bertrand and V.A all competing for one place at the moment. Arguably at the back of that Q n all. To be fair I'd expect him to be ahead of Bertrand and that Zhirkov would usually play in midfield. Fingers crossed you're right though. Would love him back here as I said.

That's a snip if true.
-
Would love Paddy back here. Can't see it mind, surely he'd rather be second choice at Chelsea than here?
-
Linked with Schalke 04 apparently.

I understand the viewpoint that any official announcment may be held back until Everton's appeal is heard but I thought (judging by earlier details I read) that we had agreed that we would pay any compensation if it came to that? If that's the case why can't we announce it? I just can't help feeling that we're asking to be shafted on this one as it seems to stand. Fair play to all involved if it does come off though.

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/144441/-David-Beckham-I-want-to-be-pro-Lego-builder-/ Wouldn't we all, David. Wouldn't we all. Imagine another newspaper referring to him as that?

If all that is true you would have to wonder what Hughton see's in him? A free transfer isn't good business if he's no better than we already have. It will be interesting to see whether Hughton has a better eye for a player than your average Joe Bloggs (BB version). ...and David Moyes. Everton clearly didn't want to let him go and he did generally seem to be in and around the first team at Goodison when fit, not bad going when you consider some of the players Everton have at their disposal. If Everton saw something in him well that's good enough for me like.

Googled it weeks ago, the guy was on ITV to play one programme out too. Oh crikey, I remember that now. Well actually I vaguely remember the missus saying to me "What's this? I thought you were watching the football", and me thinking 'Aye, what is this?' Makes sense now like

Jingle. I had no idea it was a full length track. Brilliant!

Rangers apparently. Urgh, what a waste. Well, good wage, lots of medals and european football. Not bad for an average prem player. I don't think Rangers could compete wages-wise to what he could earn at a mid/lower level Premiership club, or even a top end Championship club. Mind you challenging for trophies and a couple of European games each season is a pull I suppose.

One of the tutors at work just came in humming a tune which I recognised and whilst I was attempting to figure it out she went: "Sing, Sing Africaaaa". I'm sure that was the jingle from ITV's World Cup coverage
-
That was my first thought like. He could be a star at Rangers.

That's why he's being sold for £1m? You couldn't buy Leon Best for that. I mean the whole 'if we're not in for him we should form a suicide pact' nonsense being spouted here. Not the fee. I'm not bothered about missing out on him, just thought he'd be a decent squad player at that price. Definitely. For £1m we could do a lot worse.

I could have gissed. "Where abouts in Birmingham are you from?"

Aye, loads: Maicon, Dani Alves, Maxwell, Marcelo, Aurelio, Andre Santos, Kleber, Filipe Luis, Fabio, Rafael, Cicinho, Adriano, Bastos. In the past Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Carlos Alberto etc.. Which is true but then again haven't Brazil have always have a history of attacking full backs? They've also had a long history of great ball playing midfielders, which they definitely don't atm. I literally can't think of a genuine central midfielder they have. At the moment I can think of Gilberto Silva, Melo, Ramires, Thiago Motta, Lucas, Josue, Sandro...there's no Socrates, Rivelino, Fumaca, Zico types around. FYP for you there mate

I sometimes feel this way about 'undisclosed' transfer fees. At least give us a rough idea.
