Just trying to maintain the positivity from yesterday I guess. My take is that, if Rafa really wanted him gone, he would have gone. As mentioned above, I'm sure Rafa will find a way to use Carr's contacts to his advantage.

Easy to say that now, until players desperately want to leave. To be fair, there's a stark difference between that and the club hawking them all out to get a few quid in. It'll be great to see who leaves and who he rates enough to keep.

At least we know he's not ginger.

You know, it's funny because his record looks incredible. Well, it IS incredible let's be honest. But I always think the same thing. He's basically taken two already dominating sides and dominated further. Be really interesting to see how he does at Man City.

budget is big. need budget big for go up.

Equal parts inspiring and gutting. Of all the things I hate Pardew for, this is the most unforgivable.

It's because of movements like this one that Ashley has finally had to shift from the cheapskate policy of hiring has-beens and drunks rather than qualified professionals with a good reputation. The dancing nincompoop Pardew was forced out by none other and ultimately that is why we now have a world class manager in charge. Exactly Some mistake pressure groups as a failure if their ultimate goal isn't met. But the fact is pressure groups can force change, and that's as important. But there's a long way to go before anyone trusts MA. A long way. So AshleyOut.com's purpose is far from over. And while it's not about the group, and the group's survival, they need to be there, as a reminder that we aren't going away quietly. Excellently put.

I wouldn't say dress sense is one of his strengths TBH, his suits don't even fit. Absolutely agree. A man of his pedigree should be going to a tailor. His touchline suits look like they're straight off the hangers from Next.

And will likely be sorely overused by our media...

I try to follow Parma as best I can and Nevio Scala, who was hugely successful as a manger there in the 90s, has gone back as chairman since their demotion to Serie D.

If you squint, the buttons on his shirt look a bit like a clerical collar. THE MESSIAH It might be just me but I think about THE EXORCIST when I see that pic now.. Starring Lee Charnley as Regan.
-
I'm sticking my kids on a 46-0-0 record next season. In the fuckin bag, like.

To me this goes to show the balls that Rafa has, I know that he wants reassurances etc (standard when you consider the goings on previously) but could you see Guardiola / Mourinho managing a championship side? Hell Not even Moyes wants a piece of the Championship I think Moyes would have jumped at the chance to manage us to be fair. He just turned down Lotus Villa.

Agree 100% I actually think in this instance, relegation is probably the best thing we could have hoped for. A year to gain togetherness, focus and get used to Rafa and for him to put his stamp on the team. Enormously excited about the season ahead.

That's fuckin gorgeous.

I know this was said a week or so ago but enormous respect to the fans who were at the Spurs game. Who knows, he might have already made his mind up, but you can be damn sure that the fans that day had an impact to either Rafa or the owner that he simply had to stay on.
-
Exactly what I was thinking. "Mike, forget about total control over transfers for god sake, that's not what this is about. If we can get Kevin Mbabu tied down to a new 2 year deal, then I'll stay on"

Only space for one attack-minded dwarf. Insigne?

He'll actually get playing time unlike at Barca. He started at Lyon so it'd make sense he might want to go back there I realise that, but they've fallen quite a bit behind PSG because of the money. More of sideways move tbh. Lyon is definitely a step up from Nice to be fair.
