  1. Rancid + good quality = great football shirt Rancid + shit quality = atrocious football shirt
  2. Normally a horrendous yellow kit would be right up my street. An away/third kit for us should be horrendous. Unfortunately, PUMA have even maneged to make a kit which should look shit, end up looking shitter than shit.

    Papiss Cissé

Disaster. More of a disaster than having a striker who hasn't scored a league goal for bordering on half a season?
  4. Not as if he made a match winning save in a one on one yesterday or owt.
  5. I suggested the same yesterday. Imagine the pace on the break

I'd give HBA a go up top. See what happens.
  7. An away win when you're at the match. Sensational.
  8. Won tickets and flights to this with Wonga. Always loved those lovable rogues.
  9. No way in hell anyone has seen all those games. OK, for the purpose of semantics - the 33 times he's played in the league of the team they watch, he's scored once. A propos nothing, what's your thoughts on Bosko Balaban?
  10. The reason people on here think he's shit is not because he's playing for Sunderland, it's because the 33 times they've seen him play, he's scored once. Not sure why it's so difficult for you lot to grasp.
  11. Not really. We sold 50k for a testimonial and Barcelona as a city is probably more than 10x the size of Newcastle.
  12. Why bother with all that when you can have Stoke, Norwich and sunderland on a Super Sunday?
  13. Casually reading through the West Sydney Wanderers forum and notice they've got a 5 page thread calling Mike Ashley a cunt. Good lads. http://www.westsydneyfootball.com/forum/47-non-a-league-football/
  14. Going to take in a West Sydney Wanderers game while I'm down there for the Ashes. The football will be honkingly bad but should be good craic. They won the A-League in their first year of existence.
  15. Utrecht us a quaity trip. Lovely city, great fans and a decent stadium.
  16. A bloke I work with is a genuine ITK for the Mackems and he seems to think it won't be Gus Poyet. He's not forthcoming with much more info yet though, cos I want to wedge on it when he tells me.

I thought Everton boss Roberto Martinez pulled off a masterstroke at half-time at West Ham last weekend, putting on Romelu Lukaku and James McCarthy and really pushing for the win. That came off the back of their win over Chelsea, and they have now had two outstanding results in the league. But I just don't understand why Martinez changed the team so dramatically for their Capital One Cup defeat by Fulham. If you were an Everton fan, you might have looked at that competition and thought they could go a long way. I understand why they might change a couple of players, but that game was on Tuesday and they do not play Newcastle until Monday. I know they played well in the first half at Craven Cottage but they got beat. If I were an Everton fan, I'd be miffed. Why not play a strong team and build on the good results they have already had. Bradford and Swansea reached the final last season - why would you not want to get through to the next round? If they had kept the core of the same team for the Fulham game then they would be saying to their fringe players "hey, these boys are playing well and winning. If and when you get a chance, this is what you have to do". Newcastle had a bit of a setback against Hull in their last league game after beating Fulham and Aston Villa and I think that defeat by the Tigers showed they are not quite there. Goodison Park is great at night and there will be a really good atmosphere for this game. The crowd will be up for it and I think Everton will continue their great start to the league season. Under their former boss David Moyes they always had a good side but, with the addition of Lukaku and Gareth Barry, there now seems to be a bit of depth to their side. Prediction: 2-1
  18. Cardiff beat their first XI, why can't we beat their second XI? If we're going out, at least go out fighting.
  19. People will their first name on their shirts. Fuck you, "Ravel" Morrison.
  20. Anyone on student/concession season tickets got them for £5 plus the £1 booking fee.
  21. Kevin Nolan has been added to the NUFC squad.
