I ended up stopping at Wetherby services on my way back from the game Saturday and was absolutely fucking appauled by the Scumderland fans there. I saw one guy in a Toon shirt get set upon by a group of them and even punched in the face (we turned up just as it had kicked off so I didn't see/hear what caused it) while one (who was probably in his late 40's) shouted "I'll fookin' keel ya!". Every Toon fan that went in the services was abused by a group of 5-6 pre-pubescent, knuckle-dragging lads that seemed to congregate by the entrance, which I really appreciated when I was there with just my other half. Every one of them was a fucking embarrassment to their club.

Good job we've got two Ameobis then!

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Newcastle-vs-Wigan-team-news-Toon-close-to-full-strength-and-Hugo-Rodallega-to-return-for-Latics-article817230.html Coloccini potentially out and Rodallega back, would be bad news if so. Who would actually play CB if Coloccini was out? I presume we'd move play Santon there?

L'Equipe: Modibo Maiga fails medical; transfer 'abandoned'

Papiss Cisse would definitely be my choice out of the above; the German league is more physical than the French so he would take less adapting to the premiership, and he also has a good goalscoring record in both leagues! All that aside though, one of his middle names is Rodney, so i'm already sold on him! -

Would prefer for a new striker to have a more prolific goalscoring record but he is young I guess! -

Went some way to making up for it with that brilliant block in the second half

A poor pass to Cabaye leaving him in trouble, and a lapse in concentration from Saylor, and all our good work is undone... -

Danny Simpson's "lofted" passes are a total waste of possession, can we not teach him to put a bit more pace and a bit less height on them if he's going to punt it? -

Looks like Modric is moving in-field allowing Assou-Ekotto to bomb down the left, we need Obertan to exploit this space whenever possible! -
Was in Rome on holiday a few weeks ago and went to watch Roma Siena while I was there; if Boriello plays at the standard he did in that game every week, we DEFINITELY shouldn't be considering it, he was rubbish!

Just imagine how fucked we'd be now if that fucking scummer Bardsley had broken Colo's leg with that shocking tackle in the derby game!
