1-0 fulham against liverpool, zamora

ive seen some bad defending by us through the years but spurs defending today has got to be some of the worst ive ever seen

from the times No Campbell move Newcastle United officials have denied making an approach to Sol Campbell despite the defender’s apparent claims to the contrary. “I have been approached by several clubs, and yes, it is correct to say that Newcastle are one of them. It appeals,” Campbell was quoted as saying yesterday. The 35-year-old left Notts County after one appearance but cannot move on until they release his registration, which is the subject of continuing negotiations.

30m is low by english standards but considering the state of scottish football..........
-
ive heard these storys as well, apparently they're in talks with some potential buyer but it looks fairly grim for them and scottish football.

Puppet manager has already said at his press conferance that the 20 million is not for transfers of coarse it was never for transfers who the hell thought that?
-
i think he'd walk into the team myself Take it you didn't see him at all last season then? He's nowhere good enough to replace Taylor or Coloccini. and when they're out? see how bad our defence has become when we're missing both of them. Campbell would add cover and competition for a first team spot which is only a good thing
-
well if he wanted to return to full time management good luck to him, did a good job while here but he obviously wanted to return to the hot seat himself

I'd much rather have two box to box midfielders in the centre of midfield at this level. Plus what would you define as a creative midfielder? A classic number 10? Someone in the Riquelme mode? How many teams in the history of the Championship/Division 1/Division 2 have ever actually had such a player playing for them? I would say not many at all. At this level give me a Rob Lee (although unearting someone as good as Lee is quite a task) any day of the week. Don't we have two box to box midfielders in Smith and Nolan? I'd answer that myself but I don't want to run the risk of being accused of having a blatant agenda. smith is more of a ball winning midfielder than box to box, not that im complaining on that hes been great at that this season. Nolan meanwhile is a goal scoring midfielder but there are questions as to how much he adds to general midfield play but then again hes been good too so no complaints from me. Theoretically barton would be the ideal for box to box if he could ever get a run in the side.

id welcome sol campbell, he can teach a thing or two to saylor kadar and tozer as well as provide another leader in the dressing room but it may be a while before he can sort the notts county thing
-
80-90 would likely get automatic spot, 90 plus the league itself, though it is worth pointing out though theres plenty of time to go all of the sides at the top are being fairly inconsistent lately

Phil Brown leaves Hull?...No, but the chairman does.

It's just refreshing to see her spread her bile to someone else for a change. hasn't had much to say on us lately oddly enough. I do find it quite odd that the chairman is saying he's responsible for the bad run, that may be true in certain situations (ie ours) but hulls? its not as if they haven't given brown the ability to bring people in he's just screwing up in his job managing the club -

he's alright other than these idiotic ideas he comes up with occasionally -

this, he's actually of the few ex footballers that talks sense, write quite a bit about newcastle actually he can talk a lot of sense but then he comes out with something like this -
yes that is entirely possible

i more think if someone who actually had some cash came in and gave him the 100m up front he'd have been off and down to the casino in a flash
-
barcelona, id heard they had money problems but come on surely they could afford better
-
i'd say yes if someone offered him 100m plus up front he'd take it but thats not likely is it
-
he arrives by helicopter

The word renegotiating, meaing they are in talks with Northern Rock and Addidas, becasue if it was other companies, then it would just be negotiating, and not renegotiating, so it looks like both Northern Rock and Addidas are interested in keeping us on. addidas no surprise there and thats a good thing, probably the best shirt makers imo. northern rock i'd be shocked if they were allowed to keep the sponsorship on as they're owned by the British taxpayer. Didn't Northern Rock extend the Falcons or Durham Cricket Club's sponsorship recently?, under British taxpayers rule aswell. I'd have personally thought the British government would take a dim view of spending money on sponsoring a football team but I could be wrong

what would be even better was if the club offered a donation and renamed the stadium to sbr foundation stadium, but like thats going to happen
