  1. it may not even be him, he may say to them to pass etc but if the players can't get through with passing at first with as tempting a target like carroll up there to lump it at its hardly surprising is it? Happens a lot with crouch on the field for other teams
  2. staying in this division will be more of a disaster especially for the clubs finances The longer we stay in this division the less he'll have to accept for the club If we go up he'll want 150m+, we won't be sold and he'll give the puppet a few s**** players to plug the gaps. I'm sure you know what happens next the longer we stay here the worse it is for the club, nothing else matters other than getting promotion this season

  4. ashley obviously doesn't like the local press as seen by giving interviews to the sunday times not once but twice to discuss newcastle, something ryder seemed pissed off about in his last blog
  5. France are crap now anyway, couldn't have hoped for an easier tie tbh. This isn't 1998. Even if they're not a good team, there's too many match winners in that side. Ireland have Robbie Keane, France have Henry, Benzema, Ribery & Malouda. Even if they don't play well, they'll score. Don't forget about Glenn Whelan and sean st ledger
  6. I'm going to enjoy knocking them out of the world cup since I'm sure it was platini who got on the phone to fifa over the france situation qualifying wise
  7. don't you know? arsene didn't hear those chants
  8. must have missed that nolan bit.
  9. good luck sib with whatever you decide to do next, really did like him while he was with us.
  10. This isn't an overreaction? He played bad in a team that is ****, no surprise. Harewood hasn't played football for two years because he's woeful. How's it an overreaction? Andy Carroll hasn't proven himself at any senior level yet and you can't use the s*** team excuse this season, we're second in the league. We were all over Forest in that second half and he didn't even get a sniff and if you're using that logic Harewood must be better because he actually had some chances yesterday playing for a 's*** team'. Look at it this way, since we've been in the Championship Carroll has been outdone by Kevin Nolan and Shola Ameobi, with the latter playing about 4 games. Harewood isn't a world beater but he's hardly woeful. Take away his Wolves stint, he's had a tidy record in the Championship pretty much always getting well into double figures, and he did score 14 PL goals in his first season for West Ham. Give him some more game time and he'll get us goals at this level imo. We're second in the league and yes were are playing ****, I can't believe people don't notice this, we've been **** all season. Carroll didn't have a good game, I agree, but to start saying stuff like his heading is always crap is just rubbish. As for your last bit...Harewood should be given time but Carroll, who's 20, should be written off? Right. neither should be written off, harewoods finding his feet at a new club after 2 years of little to no football so it will take a little bit of time and carroll is young and learning, what he offers us is plenty of effort and work rate and while i agree he needs to work on his shooting its a bit ridiculous to write him off now
  11. ha ha, i don't think its the results that have lowered the "value" of the club - more like it was overpriced in the first plac,e and that fat c*** has pocketed £25m since our relegation in player sales, decreasing the alleged nett worth of the club. to be fair its more likely the fees have gone to pay wages of the players we have
  12. i think thats all he meant, what i think it is going on is hughton identifies a loan signing eg marlon harewood, sounds out villa if hes available does some negotiating over loan fee wages etc then once all thats done he has to go to ashley for final approval on the deal (martin o'neill said something before harewood arrived about having to clear it with the owner i think)
  13. well what he says here is he wants 80m up front no overtime stuff etc, the previous bid the papers talked about could have been structured to be a long time payment thing
  14. why would he bother logging on message boards?
  15. so we can discern he likes the sunday times. Well we know where we stand at least
  16. they had a real striker, they sold him to city. The problem with arsenal as always is they piss on weak sides like blackburn and birmingham and look like oh they'll win the league but against real sides they havent the bottle (see man u game where they self destructed) or simply arent as good as (man city game)
  17. And the selling of Alonso. Their fans have placed Benitez above criticism but that might be one of his biggest mistakes. To be fair to Benitez on that one, the Italian lad (forget his name) he bought to replace him hasn't kicked a ball yet. yes but hes got a long history of injury aqualaini and was bought injured for 20m they had a perfectly steady rb and spunked 16m on glen johnson when they needed a striker to play beside torres. I doubt liverpool will finish in the top 4 man city look the real deal this year I hope they get relegated. I'm just saying they can't use selling Alonso as a stick to beat Benitez with. Yet... Let's see how he does when he's fit and if he's s*** then Benitez will kop it. (geddit? geddit? ) actually losing alonso can be put down straight to lafa, he tried to sell him to pay for barry (i know who id rather have in the side and it aint barry) would you have felt compelled to stay if you were alonso after that treatment?

  19. call me supersticious but thats 2 defeats in the (admittedly much nicer to look at) 3rd kit while the custard cream kit remains undefeated
  20. first half we were poor but 2nd was a marked improvement, the main problem was forest parked the bus so to speak and thats the worry is we're having trouble breaking down sides who do that, but lets not go overboard in criticism its only the 2nd defeat of the season and we're 4 points clear of 3rd and level on points and goal difference with wba, who wouldnt have taken that at the start of the season? Honestly we're never going to be able to win every single game, now if we can't win our next few games i'd be worried but at the moment no.
  21. i really hope he stays in charge of argentina for the wc would make the whole thing all the funnier
  22. protests will achieve absolutely nothing and boycott etc will only hurt the club not ashley. There is absolutely nothing any of us can do except hope that someone meets his asking price because until thats met hes going nowhere
