  1. He can and he probably will be. at least it will be a different kind of worse
  2. Yeah but they don't give a shit. you'd think they'd give a shit about potentially throwing away what £100m in tv money next year If you had to guess based on that article it sounds like Charnley last season, too fucking scared to act and spend money for fear of the wrath of Ashley. I genuinely think Ashley is as hands off as he says he is. Just incredible if true, utterly incredible. you know Llambias may have been a complete cunt in every single regard but at least he vaguely seemed to know what he was doing, Charnley seems lost tbh

  4. if nothing else they have to look at that defense and midfield and realise that its nowhere near good enough to survive in the prem with right?!! They are watching the same games as us?
  5. while I agree I'm not sure how much even organisation can cover for the fact colo is well past his peak, mbemba is adapting to a new league janmaat can't defend and we have no senior left back worth mentioning
  6. The usual mercenaries we attract. and thats worked so well thus far
  7. 3? I'm struggling to think of one worse, villa maybe but I'd bet on them getting better as time goes on and they still look like they have some fight left in them

Someone with a bit of charisma and authority would be a start charisma and authority won't magic our defense into one fit for purpose I agree but the players just seem to have no respect for him whatsoever perhaps but ultimately thats seems to be their character, a new manager is needed but a whole new squad is needed even more

hard to see how he can turn it around but then again its hard to see how any manager in the world could turn this shower of shite into a competent team.
  11. What the hell difference is that going to make. Everything comes back to Ashley. Why do you go out of your way to come across thick all the time? Ronaldo man Still think this squad is good enough for top half, UB? I said midtable, and yes, I still stand by that. The higher ups and the manager (again) are much bigger problems. sorry but you look at that defense and central midfield and think thats good enough for mid-table?
  12. fucking hell Everton, threw away a 2 goal lead
  13. I see your point but as greg said he's the one who appointed them in the first place and ultimately it goes well beyond this year back pretty much to the summer after the 5th place finish, instead of building a squad that was deep enough to cope with the thursday/sunday routine which better teams than us have found awkward we just got one player in anita who has never seemed to properly fit in since we signed him. Chronic under investment, failure to replace key players after you sell them and the only surprise is not that we're in this much obvious trouble but that it took so fucking long
  14. He's been given a mandate and he's abiding by it. If we want to criticise him for that so be it, but that's a different argument. He's 'forced' to buy inexperienced, sometimes unwanted, players from second rate leagues. Plus, he didn't choose to get rid of the good players we brought in. he is in charge of recruitment and has managed to get in a load of shite players which don't fit together in the slightest
  15. and of coarse you know if/when mitro does come on he will get himself a straight red won't he

a mid-table squad has a defense fit for purpose we do not I look at wbas and palaces squads and see while they're not great they can at least fucking defend
