Why? For the first part I mean?? I just don't get this wankfest love in for him at all. Seems a decent bloke, not the first or last decent lad to be managing, seems just as able to come out with bullshit as anyone else, judging by his latest comments and press conferences... So why are so many professing love for him?? Not the least likeable by a million miles but I dinnae get the love fest.. yeah I'm failing to get the love for him too
-
lets be honest, defense midfield and attack is all a joke, they all need upgrades fast. We need a dominant cb, a brand new central midfield, more width and another striker not to mention the squad desperately needs a leader on the pitch
-
Bit daft to give up on Benteke after only 6 months and £32m spent, it can take players time to settle in and he has shown he can do it in a much worse team than Liverpool (lord knows it seems he was the only thing keeping them up in retrospect). As for Pato, his body seemed to fall apart at Milan though judging by whats on wikipedia seems to have not missed much since going back.
-
to be fair his record at Wolves is pretty good so as signings go it looks safe enough and with the injurys they've had they probably need some backup and he is only 22. Even in a worst case scenario with relegation he'd be good to have in the championship anyway.
-
I think its safe to apply that line to the entire squad from the clubs pov
-
Where do you draw the line though? Get rid of obvious errors and naturally the focus will then move to less obvious ones. The stakes are so high that we could end up with anything being deemed a 'game changer'. Give each team a number of challenges. then managers start moaning about not having enough challenges and we would have won if we could challenge x y and z thing at the end of the game. Also I can easily see the likes of Pulis and Allerdyce making frivolous challenges to disrupt opposition momentum and or waste time
-
ditto same, kinda surprised I knew 17
-
no point writing him off after 6 months though, all foreign signings should be given at least a season before proper judgement's are made
-
similar things could be said for the performances vs Liverpool and Spurs but that was followed up with 1 point out of 9 vs Villa, Everton and WBA so no I wouldn't say its because of SMC and more by the players to try and impress any scouts watching.
-
a goalkeeper is the last thing needed, Elliot's fine its everything in front of him thats the problem
-
we do need players who will hit the ground running, players who already have premier league experience have a higher chance of doing so.
-
I honestly think it is that bad, no central midfield worth mentioning in the slightest, the defense is terrible and we can't score. Theres individually good players but the key areas of cb and cm are so bad its hard to overcome
-
who in gods name could look at our defense and think; "yeah thats good enough for a premier league team"
-
How long on his Chelsea deal? Might need a shopping window if there isn't much left on it. He would do very well at Villa, imho. you'd think better options than villa would want him if he was available
-
solidly top half to europe position with them though it wasn't pretty as I recall.

i think the scientific term for this is typical arsenal
-
Wijnaldum has a much better first touch and close control, is better in the air and at finishing and is generally a much more classy, clever footballer. And yet Sissoko normally has far more impact on our matches in terms of driving the team forward and making things happen. It's a problem for us, because aside from our right back basically nobody else does it. if Thauvin was given a fair go maybe he could produce something but it isn't helping him getting 5 minutes today what the fuck is even the point of that
-
ie the games scouts might be judging them on
-
we might spend but I'd be surprised if one of Perez or Sissoko isn't sold to fund it, maybe both
-
3-0 now
-
should be 2-1
-
yeah I was kinda surprised when I saw Everton were only 10th when it felt like they should be higher. Still better than the usual city/chelsea/man utd steam rolling everyone and the title being won by christmas more or less and the only real battle being at the bottom
