why the hell was shola on a free kick

10 managers in 13 years I think I remember reading, Levy is fairly quick on the trigger. Sounds bad but look at the squad now in comparison to where they were 10 years ago. Sacking a manager who hasn't met targets which were agreed to by all parties is no bad thing IMO. Displays an ambition to not rest until success has been achieved. around 10 years ago they were trying to get into the champions league on a consistent basis, now they're still trying to get into the champions league on a consistent basis. What has sacking all these managers actually achieved other than a large amount of money given away in compensation?

Isn't Hampden Park closed for a bit? Sure they played the cup final at Parkhead. no reason they couldn't use Celtics or Rangers stadium then surely. Ireland have played at Fulham too (in fact playing vs italy soon enough iirc) so Scotland probably got some deal and a fair wedge to play there like I assume Ireland did.

like him as a pundit personally, as LucaAltieri he at least trys to have a decent idea about what he's on about which is more than can be said for most of them.

Amazing accomplishment, but their reward for this season is probably losing all of their best players and maybe their coach. yup not looking forward to the inevitable set of vultures picking them apart.

Definitely. The Atletico rearguard were suddenly stretched all over the shop with their entrance. Felt bad for Atletico. Pretty sure they would've won with a fit Turan and Diego Costa. maybe just even one of them fit but such has been the case for them in most of the season the fact they won la liga and got to extra time in the champions league final is remarkable with the relatively small squad they have (certainly for this level)

that €100m looks really well spent on bale..................

Real have sacked managers for less

great players don't get sent off 19 times at age 28.
-
Aye coz Real Madrid never do that do they? Not the set piece part , no. Eh? Of course they do. Have you watched them play against Barcelona at any point over the last decade? Atletico are basically adopting the same approach but doing it better. Under Carlo? Nope. That might have something to do with the fact that they're actually on par with Barcelona this year, though. The likes of Di Maria are as bad as anyone for rolling around looking for free kicks. not forgetting its a team with Ramos, the most sent off player possibly ever (and who is a clown of a defender but thats a different point entirely) and a professional thug in Pepe

Oh I know what they should do, they should go out attacking, get beat 4 nil and then get praise for their "brave" performance Well no. That's just bollocks isn't it. What do you want them to do like? They won't win if they allow Real Madrid to play As a neutral I'd like to see the Champions league final played between the two best sides in Europe. What we have here is George Graham's Arsenal style football coming out on top. I didn't like to watch it then. I still don't. Real Madrid have been appalling too mind. football would be awfully dull if everyone played the same way, what we have here is a side very good on the counter and ridiculously good defensively which as unpopular as it seems is just as important as being good in attack.
-
its his own fault for that stupid yellow. That said always seems ridiculously harsh on players to miss the final over some yellow fucking cards.

GET THE FUCK IN also

oh that was close

anyway on the main event looks like Costa will start Miguel Delaney @MiguelDelaney 1m As @tikitakatv reported the other night, now suggestions in Lisbon that Costa will start. No confirmations yet.

Dodgy site, my antivirus blocked it. The South Korean football governing body on Friday rejected comments made by Queens Park Rangers (QPR) head coach Harry Redknapp that his defender Yun Suk-young was given permission to stay with the English club away from an ongoing pre-World Cup training camp. Yun's availability has been a sticking point between the Korea Football Association (KFA) and QPR. The second division English club will face Derby County in a one-and-one showdown for promotion to the top-flight Premier League for next season. The KFA has tried to bring Yun, recently named to South Korea's 23-man squad for this year's FIFA World Cup, to the training camp since last week. He had been scheduled to arrive in South Korea on May 14. Under FIFA regulations for the World Cup, the mandatory rest period at club level for players on World Cup rosters is from May 19 to 25 and special exemptions "may only be granted by the FIFA Executive Committee." The controversy took a turn for the bizarre on Friday, Korean time, when Redknapp was quoted as saying on Sky Sports' website that South Korean head coach Hong Myung-bo had actually allowed Yun to stay with QPR for the key match. "It's fantastic that the Korea coach has allowed him to stay in England and be part of our team for the game," Redknapp said. "We are delighted with that." An official with the KFA said Redknapp's comments were not true. "We've never given QPR the permission to keep Yun Suk-young (for the match)," the official said. "For the past few days, QPR officials haven't answered our calls. Coach Redknapp's comments make no sense at all." Yun remains the only South Korean player missing from the camp. The KFA has said it already asked QPR for cooperation earlier this month and that the national team's Dutch assistant coach, Ton du Chatinier, has also contacted QPR coaching staff over Yun's release. Recently asked by Yonhap News Agency what potential penalties QPR may face for playing Yun on Saturday, a FIFA spokesman responded, "It will be up to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee to decide on the opportunity to open disciplinary proceedings, should such a case occur, and decide based on all the specific circumstances of each case." They don't give a damn. Their president's already said it will change nothing. http://www.espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1824845/players-want-have?cc=4716 As if Platini would ban them from European competitions either. he'd have the french tv broadcasters trying to blast down the doors to uefa if they dared do it. And since ultimately UEFA's all about the money ffp is pretty meaningless other than to keep the rich rich and keep anyone else from getting into their cozy little club. After all Abramovich of all people is very pro ffp which sums the idea up for me.

what a strange choice
