you know an idea is really insane when he of all people is speaking out against
-
I believe your thinking of brian mcdermott at leeds in that case. As for MacKay seemed to be doing alright before he was sacked and meh football, nowt too terrible or good tbh. Maybe I'm getting my wires crossed. Didn't Cardiff's fans get moody about the prospect of Mackay getting sacked? "Nowt too terrible or good" is a massive step up for us at the moment... oh they did but the sacked then not sacked was specifically leeds and mcdermott.
-
why would he resign? Worst case scenario for him is he gets sacked by some miracle post this season or the far more likely some time next season (if at all) and get his payoff and tbh his reputation isn't terribly hurt by it as the vast majority of pundits put it down more to Ashley reasons while he can point to two top half finishes and a european quarter final on a net profit transfer wise which should be able to get him a prem job somewhere or at very worst top half championship.

Let's be honest, Ashley still probably hasn't heard of him. This is almost certainly just newspaper bollocks based on his agent touting him to premier league clubs. pretty much this

Pete O'Rourke @SkySportsPeteO 7m Former Cardiff manager Malky Mackay has dropped his legal claim against the club after reaching a settlement on his sacking. #cardiffcity

what an absolutely horrific idea Accrington Stanley @ASFCofficial 2h In 2016/17 we can achieve our dream... We'll finally be able to play Stoke City Reserves in the Football League...
-
they don't need to beat them though which gives city some protection from their tendency to fuck things up this season
-
so liverpool now relying on fat sam to beat city, good luck with that one

about time

They sacked Hughton. They deserve this. Hope they never come back up. the mistake was not sacking him a lot sooner than they did
-
the weird thing is its been obvious for years they were getting way too old squad wise and the solution was to buy more aging players.
-
Not sure any of this will hold out in appeals tbh.

giving away 3 goals in 10 minutes because your going overboard in attacking and forgetting about defending is worthy of harsh criticism. The most vital thing was winning the game and keeping pressure on city, points in the bag are better than games in hand like city have and city have shown a tendency to crack under pressure this season stupidly.
-
That's a bit of a knee-jerk imo, they've been excellent generally and at 3-0 it made sense for them to go after the goal difference. Absolutely right on the last point though, drawing after that is inexcusable. Chelsea was the big fuck up. Hilarious like. I'd put it throughout the season their defense has never been anywhere near the standard of the attack and much as its not terribly popular defending well is just as important as attacking. Basic errors out of guys under Rafa who really could defend brilliantly and if the refs had any balls they'd be giving away a penalty every game thanks to Skrtel pushing and pulling every set piece

is it just me or did the sky guy sound unusually happy asking that question

or they could be so broken as soon as news filters in of city taking the lead we take advantage and win as they wilt and start crying! Allow me my delusions Nah, they have no pressure now. It'll be more a celebration of an amazing season rather than pressure of trying to wrap up the title. They'd have thrashed us anyway, but it's going to be more like an exhibition and a party atmosphere from kick off instead. They'll demolish us. doubt it will be a party atmosphere after such a collapse, they're going to be rock bottom and lord knows how anyone motivates them to even try when they know it will likely be pointless
-
Load of guff that. They lost to Chelsea at home and drew with a team in brilliance form away on the back of a crazy amount of wins. They lost to Chelsea by piling forward and being stupid in a game they didn't even need to win. A draw there and they only need to win tonight instead of needing to go suicidal to try and correct the GD. They were far too desperate to show Chelsea that the mighty Liverpool were back and fell right into the trap. Still nothing like dropping a 12 point lead though. Not even on the same planet. dunno this was literally their title they had 1 and half hands on it and completely blew it and bottled it. And its all down to Steven Gerrard to just make that bit more delicious

Nick @23nsg 1h If Man City win the league, imagine being a #Liverpool fan knowing a goal scored by Dummett and 10 man #nufc effectively cost you the title
-
and it just goes to show, you can't win the title if you can't fucking defend

as it stands 7 I think minimum, assuming city don't score shit loads in 2 games obviously
-
I'd be willing to throw together some rambling notions together now and then.
-
attitude problems I seem to recall reading in papers
-
yeah but City do have games they can score a fair bit in too with Villa and West Ham left to play at home.
