    Sunderland

why would he? he's won a cl he can wait for a better opportunity to go for the top
  2. he's not actually a terrible player
  3. Just? We don't want to end up with Brian McDermott on an 7 year deal. We need a manager with a modern continental approach. I also think now would be a good time for them to come in and acquire a bit of premier league knowledge under no pressure to the end of the season. you know thats quickly turning into one of these phrases I despise
  4. looked good going forward, looked clueless in defense
  5. I'd give Dummett or Haidara a go just to see what they can do, impossible to judge them without them having a real run in the side.

he like everyone else was crap no excuses no hiding behind anything simple as. Must do better.
  7. To be honest, I am not convinced new employers look that far into it. Some managers do horrendous jobs at one club yet walk right into another no long after. there's also the pride issue, managers for the most part are very sure of themselves bordering on cockiness and being completely egocentric for any of them to resign and basically say I am not good enough of a manager to turn this around is bloody rare. They will always have faith in themselves to be able to turn things around even if no one else does. And obviously missing out on a large payout is a big no. Don't blame any of them on that front I'd probably do the same myself.
  8. He could easily say that the club's mentality of not wanting to develop as a club doesn't fit with his desire to want to win every game, every cup and to compete in Europe. I don't see how that could possibly ruin his credability. Resigning should, in theory, be very attractive to new employers. Saves them having to pay compo to you if you fuck up. Baffled why it would be seen as a negative. Perception, its the view if the going gets tough instead of trying to battle out of it you walk away.
  9. at best for us he's been average.

I don't see how that could possibly ruin his credability. true but that could affect him in another way, curbishley did similar and hasn't been in the dugout since despite a fairly good record at a certain level.
  11. few managers ever do, even ignoring the compensation thing its also creates the perception of you saying "I'm not good enough to handle this" which could affect future job prospects. Very few will ever want to admit this.
  12. He would get banned if he probed too much though. The club wouldn't ban the BBC they could stop any interviews like this or with any of the squad. I'm sure they could but they wouldn't . Its the BBC FFS and I don't think ashley cares

  14. I think it was Llambias who wanted to keep Pardew last season, stressing continuity and not knee jerk reactions. Throw in the large compo and he stays but Kinnear comes in to try and force him to leave without compo and I've not see anything by those above Pardew that says they support him or want to keep him in any way.
  15. Good, the more uproar and trouble the better. The fat cunt will never have any intention of leaving if he can lull the entire support base into a numb apathy. The more dissatisfaction the better. The worst things is, and Mike knows it, is that all it takes is a few wins to get every dumb cunt onside as we saw earlier in the season during our "fantastic run". he has no intention of leaving until he gets his money back. Fans opinion is irrelevant
  16. only reason I can think of is he or his agent kicked off behind the scenes saying he'd leave unless he was playing and with colo probably off too and replacements Taylor's? Surely no-one could have seen that as anything other than the best news ever. look at it from Pardews pov, cb is the one area we actually have cover in but its tenuous like everything else. Colo doesn't want to be here anymore and wouldn't be except for us basically forcing him to stay and he will probably be off in the summer. On top of that he's picking up more injuries so hard to really rely on him, Taylor leaving too leaves us with 2 cbs because there's not a fucking hope he'd be replaced. So he goes for a pragmatic option, I don't agree with it in the slightest and really wouldn't miss taylor in the slightest but its the only logic I can think of.
  17. while your not wrong how different an atmosphere might it have been if some kind of replacement for cabaye had been gotten. As it is though the entire squad know the plan from the top is to muddle on to the end of the season no ambition to even try to get a cl place. That by itself has to be fairly demoralizing for everyone

  19. yep theres going to be a need for major squad surgery in the summer and no chance if anything is done it will be anywhere near enough
  20. here's the thing without cabaye i really don't think we have a better squad. He was the difference maker who lifted an otherwise average side to a good side, without him no creativity no goalscorers and no spine We were getting beat off the mackems with Cabaye as well. Earlier this season and last season as well. When will your pathetic excuses dry up? that can be put down to one thing, sunderland care more about it, I don't think Pardew see's it as a big game as we actually tend to show up in those the players obviously don't see it as a big game (compare performances vs chelsea and to a lesser extent city last month to these) and they don't feel the same way as the fans. Obviously its a major failing that Pardew can't get them motivated for it but by christ they shouldn't need motivating. Its all just another symptom of Ashley the players don't care because they're passing through waiting for the big move to whereever and thats more than likely how they were sold the club in the first place. Theres no attempts to build anything its just existing one season to the next no plan no hope all focused on the money in
