Not surprised by this we don't have the squad to cope with injuries full stop and oh joy Debuchys now on that list
-
first half played meh some chances but Chelsea in 2nd gear with Hazard on form too much for us. Pointless 2nd half only thing interesting was MYM's impression of Taylor in pure stupidity defending a corner and giving away a pen
-
thats as braindead as anything Taylors ever done
-
if refs were consistent in giving pens it would soon stop
-
moronic "defending"
-
nice to see Arsenal beginning the annual February season collapse and its all Wengers fault, failure to invest in Jan has cost them any chance of the title
-
holy shit football is broken again

what position is Keman?

jesus didn't see this one coming

You are taking the piss. We've got a good scouting system, big money signings hadn't worked out for us, we're 8th in the league which isn't that bad, our fans are more unhappy when we're losing, his own stint here didn't work out, we can't compete with the mega-rich clubs, and he had no problems with Kinnear but felt he was from a bygone era. Controversial. we have a good scout, not a good scouting system, a good scouting system would cover a far wider area than France, why do we seem to have nobody looking at lower leagues or hell even kids from the CL sides, sure they might not be good enough right now to even threaten their respective first teams but it could be worth a gamble that they get something wrong and let go of a good player (see Matic at chelsea given away as makeweight for Luiz then brought back for £20m-horrific by Chelsea). We can't compete directly with the mega rich clubs, I get that but that just means we need to be smarter than them, they tend to play things safe pay the bit more for the proven player because they can afford the costs we just have to gamble on the unproven the one with a point to prove it might not work but at least we'd be trying to compete which is better than giving up because then whats the point? If your not even going to try then what is the point of Newcastle United Football Club? Just there to make up numbers? I don't expect success I do expect an effort to improve the club which there is currently not from Ashley.

while he is correct in the basics it goes beyond that, simply put things could be a lot worse (and lord knows they have been) but things could be a lot better the club runs with a skeleton staff on all levels from the boardroom and money departments etc to the coaching staff right down to the playing staff. It doesn't require massive investment to improve 2 of those, more better qualified people on a board level will improve basic things like communication and PR (which is a disaster area) to the more complex like better sponsorship deals to maximize the resources available to the club. An increased coaching staff would bring new ideas to the table on the first team level and other ways of coaching and maybe even new tactical idea's, increasing the coaching staff further down increases the probability of bringing through youngsters to the first team and saving money in the long run. Hell even the scouting department could do with a little more investment, more scouts covering a wider area so we're not just trying to tap into a depleting market in France where they've more than caught up with our transfer tactics. The playing side is a bit more difficult and while in the short to medium term we'll never be able to match the spending power of City, Chelsea and co that doesn't mean we should give up. They can have greater proven quality of depth in squad than us obviously but we don't bother with depth at all, the best tactic for us to try to compete is either improve our academy (not a quick fix) or take gambles on young players from for example the lower leagues sure it mightn't work but better than trying to stand still which will only end up in us going backwards. Also fuck you owen fuck you

wait til 28 at least then cash in for £300m or something

According to the newspaper knacker on SSN he was never going to be offered a new deal so jumped before he was made to look a fool. I get sooner or later he needs to be replaced but why such a rush? He's not as good as he was (at his best probably the best cb in the league) but still better than the rest of their cbs.
-
Taylor I'd say, his agent certainly gave the suggestion rather openly that if he wasn't going to be playing he'd be off and its not unreasonable to speculate Taylor would be rather more vocal in private
-
I've said it a couple of times but I think he's just playing him because he probably kicked off and threatened to leave since he wasn't playing or anywhere near the team even when fit previously. With colo uncertainty/injury issues and the probability of a replacement near nil he can't really afford to lose any of Willo MYM or Taylor. Don't agree with said policy but its my view of how it is. But how wrong is it that all you have to do is throw a tantrum, to get in the team ahead of someone more deserving? It's just poor management, based off of fear and a lack of a spine. Pardew's specialties. as I said I don't agree with the decision and frankly wouldn't miss Taylor in the slightest if he left tomorrow and frankly would throw him out just for the stupid jumping around in front of the keeper he does. However in pure (in fm terms) current ability I don't think there's much of a difference between MYM and Taylor, different approach's and as much maligned as Taylor can be there is a reasonably competent prem level cb in there when he's not being a complete madman. But Taylor is as good as he's ever going to be until he finds a brain to cut out the bullshit MYM will get better with time which is why I'd play him personally. Of coarse the only reason he was bought was because everyone thought Colo was going so replace him early (probably what got Llambias in hot water with Ashley) and once Colo's gone we'd be back to 3 cbs which is all the club wants.

nope there was enough for a red imho despite Flores playacting much like the Remy incident stupid by the players to give the opportunity to be sent off.

Darren Lewis @MirrorDarren 8s West Ham have lost their arbitration hearing. More on Mirrorfootball shortly and the fat one has the audacity to claim it was a clear mistake by the ref.

Tiote's invaluable, without him our midfield just looks very very weak, he's our best cm now that cabayes gone
-
without Tiote breaking things up in midfield and doing something to put a stop to Hazard and co this could get very ugly. Can easily see our midfield being overwhelmed.

Hardly non existent when they play west ham down to ten men for 30 mins and have no shots on target

I look forward to FIFA banning West Ham from all football. Don't they have a thing about not involving the courts in footy stuff? dunno about FIFA but every single club signs up to not before each season to the system and not to bring courts into it, frankly I'd hope the rest of the clubs would work together and throw west ham out for trying it. What do they think makes them so special that they can get away with it, every single club had had bad reffing decisions every single club has had appeals go against them when they thought it shouldn't have. None of those have decided to throw their toys out of the pram and go crying over it. Christ its not as even if it was clearly wrong, theres enough in the rules for the incident to be a red despite Flores's crying like a 4 year old girl. Apparently the FA are allowing a personal hearing tomorrow morning. Hope they don't let them off as it will send out the wrong message. not to mention opening the threat of similar action from every single club, it would basically destroy the suspension system as anyone who doesn't want a player banned, just scream loudly and shrilly enough and threaten to go to court and your player will get off scott free! And thats not even taking into account the outrage from other clubs near the bottom if West Ham get away with it really opening themselves to legal action there should West Ham stay up because of a goal from Carroll against Villa Norwich or Southampton
-
they'll miss him, no one left there who has even half of his ability as a defender

Gave away the game a bit saying it was a board decision instead of him choosing to go
