  1. Boruc has been pretty good for them in general to be fair. too prone to daft moments. See also his attempt to be a footballer vs arsenal
  2. horrible horrible "tackle" (or if you prefer assault)
  3. good grief what diabolical goalkeeping. You'd think with the money Southampton spent they'd have saved a bit for a good goalkeeper you know the foundation of any good side?
  4. how exactly did Southampton not win this game?

    2-0 vs. 4-1

2-0 conceding 1 in a big win always bugs the hell out of me (the 1 in the 5-1 vs sunderland ruined the entire afternoon)

    Andy Carroll

This is pretty much where I'm at too. He was phenomenal for a short while and gave every CB pairing he faced massive problems, few could handle him. He went for a massive amount of money and it's turned to shit. He'll look back at that deadline day as a crossroads in his career and it went to shit for him. Maybe there's a player still in there but he looked a shadow of himself since he moved on. Not our problem to worry about any more though. I do wonder how much is it down to motivation, he clearly loved being the focal point of our attack and played with that much more drive and determination to fill the no 9 shirt. Just seems to me he lost that hunger once he left
  7. Liverpool winner feels inevitable
  8. always someone else's fault no it wasn't my dinosaur tactics or lack of any idea's beyond hoof no its all the players fault for not listening to my obvious brilliance
  9. honestly never heard us linked with him
  10. it all boils down to the same thing, Everton are well within their rights to use the loan system within the rules as they currently are but I can't help but think of it as short term planning at its worst. If someone like Mike Ashley and Llambias could set up an effective enough scouting system and be able to spot talented players for reasonable enough fee's then surely be to god Everton can too.
  11. Have Lukaku and Traore bulldoze the fuck out of every single opposition player for 4 months and we won't need one. and after the 4 months? i imagine the idea would be slow progress, in the summer perhaps sign one permanent player and loan another 3? no reason why they can't keep loaning people in, it's not like there's a finite number of quality players available on loan that diminishes as the years go by I'm not overly fond of loaning in general, all it does it allow the stockpiling of young talented players at the clubs with money. It can provide a short term boost sure to the club loaning the player but all it does is help the parent club because they get back the player improved from being able to play regular first team football while the club who loaned the player has to find a way to fill the gap left by him. Ultimately a premier league club should be able to get their own players and develop them not develop another clubs player for them. The only type of loan I can just about tolerate is a loan with a buyout clause and even then I wonder why bother with the loan bit, if you want him sign him, if he's willing to come on loan he should be willing to join permanently and if not then how committed is he to the club anyway.
  12. Not really, if they elevate us into Europe. And especially not if they get us 4th. if they don't get you to 4th then really you are back to square one next season. Different matter obviously if they get you a CL place but its still an awful lot of talent to replace just in Lukaku (think Barry will join permanently)
  13. bit harsh on the rest of the Norwich team saying Jonas is immediately their best player.
  14. WBA sponsor not happy with them and threatening to pull out immediately http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/17/nicolas-anelka-west-brom-zoopla-gesture
  15. well either way its in most of the nationals, how in gods name did west ham let this happen, the transfer was in the bloody bag.

  17. couldn't everton just apply for one themselves? sure it might take a few days but if he's injured there's hardly a big rush
  18. Williamson I feel is better than Taylor at defending in the air or to be exact nowhere near as likely to do something daft while trying to head it away. Taylors better at attacking the ball in an attacking set piece mind
  19. Just can't see it at all, their demands were apparently 20 million euro's. I can't even see us bidding 10 million. true but as always consider it through the lens of potential future profit, get him over give him a few years to play well and improve higher sell on price rinse and repeat with next on the list. At least thats how it was god knows how it works now with JFK at the helm Have we sold any of our buys for profit yet? if you want to count ba then yes, if not we will with Cabaye
  20. not the first time a good pro has been unceremoniously thrown of a club won't be the last.
