could be 2nd tbh could see Stoke and Pulis parting ways

Something always seems to be up with the injury side of thing because we normally seem to get more than our fair share of injuries and there has to be an underlying reason as to why its been going on for most seasons not just this one

bit of a harsh sacking imho
-
Watford for me, Zola's likeable Holloway is not
-
Rafa isn't a realistic option, very large salary, probably expects to walk straight into a CL level job or near enough and has clashed with those working above him in the club structure before
-
Well I'd sign McCarthy anyway quality player

I don't really understand posts like this. Are you not able to judge for yourself from what you see on the field "which was the fluke"? I don't need a number on a league table to tell me that the way we play is not good enough and will not lead to consistently good results. My main issue through out this anti Pardew thing is less criticizing Pardew or even wanting him out, everyones entitled to their opinion etc etc. But rather how absolutely everything wrong is being put at his door and the players get off scot-free criticism wise. Obviously he's made mistakes but why aren't they taking their share of the blame for some gutless performances? And if you say its just down to Pardews negative tactics, don't they have minds of their own? So, for example, if Pardew is unable to coach the defence into a unit, who all know where the others are, when to push out, when to fill in etc... what, they should do it in their spare time down the park? If they don't practice passing in triangles in training you expect them to do it in their back garden, against their son and the dog. Can't believe what I'm reading. Minds of their own. They're up against the tactics of Sir Alex Ferguson and they should all be doing their own thing, on the hop. Reminds me of that game we used to play, 'knockout' where everyone's trying to score in the same end, twenty people running after the same ball and trying to run past everyone or shoot from anywhere. If one player underforms while everyone else is playing, fair enough. An entire squad of thirty-odd players?! What's your solution then? Sell them all presumably? ther has been gutless surrenders that can never be just down to Pardew, the Liverpool match is case in point why the hell did they just give up after the third goal, I am not saying its all down to the players, Pardews made plenty of mistakes himself but to pin all our woes this season on Pardew is not something I agree with, its never that simple.

Champions League level job then and he'll wait until he gets one.

the reaction to this has been rather amusing, did anyone really expect any other outcome should we stay up? He's back at square one, one good season one bad season, next season will tell which was the fluke
-
dunno I think McKay would be a decent appointment, did well at Watford and now finally got perpetual bottlers Cardiff over the line
-
well that was unexpected, the nuge puts Leicester back in front
-
ludicrous goal

I can see no possible scenario where he'd have joined us

IMO he's better than Mancini. More tactically adept in Europe by a long shot for starters. Agreed. Although Mancini gets disproportionate criticism. I'm not so sure, last season he did fantastic but this season has been abysmal. Tried too hard to show he knew best. I'd call it disappointing since I find it hard to call any season where you finish comfortably 2nd and (probably) win a trophy abysmal Given how far they've fallen behind a widely recognised poorish Man United I'd disagree especially given investment levels over the 2 seasons. hence the disappointing bit. Plus no matter the fact the Man Utd side is poorish the force of will of Fergie to win back the trophy after last seasons end can never be underestimated and it looks like some of the City players (Joe Hart in particular) have gotten really complacent and let the praise go to their heads. True but is that not that the managers responsibility to keep them motivated and grounded, not mentioning the hilarity shown by City in Europe. The tough group being a massive misnomer given BVB were in a similar situation but did something about it despite way less investment. perhaps but it is one of the more difficult things in football to pull off to keep a bunch of spoilt multi millionaires grounded motivated and hungry for success. and therein lies the ability of the truly brilliant managers like Fergie etc. its the standout ability of Fergie as well as how much football and footballers have changed since he took over Man Utd that he adapted hence why I'm more hesitant to criticize guys like Mancini who while he's failed this season has surely done enough to have another go next season

I'd be idly curious if I was bored enough to see my own predictions through the season put in a predictor and just how wrong I'd look overall

They would romp the PL with Pellegrini i hope it doesn't happen. Not if Chelsea have Mou I really think thats an implosion waiting to happen. Theres reasons he and Abramovich had a major falling out and its not like he'll stop interfering in the team since he hasn't at any point up til now

still don't see Mancini getting sacked unless they lose the FA cup tomorrow. The City owners thus far haven't seemed overly quick to sack a manager, hell they gave Hughes almost a season and a half of mostly stupid purchases (albeit it with some clever ones when working under a tighter budget pre takeover in Kompany and Zabaletta)

certainly done an outstanding job at Malaga under ridiculously trying circumstances and the job he did at Real for what time he had was very good just had the problem of one of the best club sides ever in his way
