..........honestly except Keane thats not all that bad
-
getting very old very fast
-
I know PSG was bad enough but this is actually somehow worse, how the hell are the likes of Lyon Lille and Marseille supposed to compete with 2 sugar daddy fueled clubs one of whom doesn't pay the crippling taxes they have to pay.

Mark Douglas @MsiDouglas 4m Interesting to read claims by San Lorenzo president that he's trying to broker a deal for Colo. He's had ZERO contact with #nufc
-
I wouldn't see it like that, if he really wants to leave there's very little we can do other than be dignified and let him leave for a semi-reasonable fee. problem is San Lorenzo seem to object to the idea of paying for him, hell at this stage I wouldn't be shocked if they asked us to pay them to take him off our hands
-
A deal? Or just "we got no money so please join us for free" again? the latter obviously
-
rumours originating with dear colin so disregard
-
that its what we all knew he has no say in transfers
-
looking waaaaaay too deep man, don't set yourself up for disappointment
-
bit convenient for Bayern that injury all things considered
-
yes but how often did he throw his players under the bus in public? 99% of the time whatever he may have shouted at them in private he never made it public like Di Canio is and went out of his way to defend his players publicly
-
They took this from some shit "transfer news live" account that cited The Telegraph. Now a bunch of people saying both reporting he's gone, yet neither of them are. What a shitshow The article posted on here last night, by Luke Edwards. so load of shit then
-
well that won't end well
-
I look forward to these malicious lies being debunked

manager? Sam Allerdyce if you count Championship time as well

Rafeal is a great player, its time to stop the fixed opinions and realise players can improve. ( not aimed at you btw just a sweeping statement) Spurs are a lot more than 2 players away from a title challenge, you don't go from 5th to 1st with 2 players. Depends if those two players are Thiago Silva and Messi I was thinking of realistic signings This is what i was talking about they are far away from a title challenge.... half their defence isn't even top 4 level matter about champions level. Their midfield without Dembele and Sandro is mid table level, they have no quality 10s, Lennon is injury prone and he needs some competition anyway plus the obvious striker. Even if they bought a quality CF, kept Bale and got a quality partner for Vertonghen and none of the contenders bought anyone they still wouldn't finish above the Mancs. I think a lot of you are underestimating how much is needed to go from a top 4 contender to a title contender. Same goes for Chelsea and Arsenal. I have to think you're the one doing the underestimating here. They probably have the most depth in the backline than anyone else in the league. Kaboul is easily a top centerback if he's able to return to form after being out all season. As a group they're very solid and capable of challenging for a title. A quality striker, competition for Lennon, and one or two centermids to replace Parker and give Dembele a backup would probably put them in a shot of the title. I think the truth is between you two. Mole, we were only three points off third and six points off second, although obviously that ignores GD. I think a title push is hugely unlikely because of the financial advantage the other clubs have, but it wouldn't take too much to improve us. Some good luck with injuries would help. Isn't the interesting point that you've said our defence, midfield and attack were all so unimpressive, yet we still did so well? Surely that means that we have loads of opportunities to get better? I worry that Kaboul is becoming a perma-crock, but if he does come back then we're laughing. We have plenty of players we can sell for decent money to generate cash. Man U have shown what you can achieve with a mix of fantastic players and some really quite limited ones, as long as the team play and tactics are good. Of course it would be nice to upgrade players like Walker, but I don't see that as a priority. He's limited, but adequate in a good team. We need to get in a couple of clever, fast, and creative players - up front, wide forward and probably in the midfield. There are a couple of young players in a position to move up, with a few others in the pipeline. Keeping Bale is key - (a) he's shit-hot (b) there's a possibility that he will help us attract one or two players. I'd like to think so, anyway. Let's say we shift on Parker, Defoe, Huddlestone, and a few fringe players (Gomes, Naughton, Dempsey, Gallas, Bentley). Carroll, Townsend and Rose come into the side, and kids like Luongo, Kane, Falque, Pritchard and Archer get another year on loan. The matchday squad looks like this: GK: Lloris, Friedel, one of the kids RB: Walker, Smith LB: Rose, BAE CB: Vertonghen, Kaboul, Dawson, Caulker CM: Carroll, Sandro, Dembele, Holtby Attacking mids: Sigurdsson, Bale Wide forwards: Lennon, Townsend CF: Adebayor That's 20 - so you've got plenty of room to add in three properly good players, then have younger players like Livermore as emergency cover. So, one forward, one wide forward, one attacking mid. That's what we needed all year anyway. Get that and I think we're a better team than this year, and like I say, we didn't do too badly. tbh I think you'd be better to shift Adebayor than Defoe because while on his day Ade is great those days are rather rare once he has a contract
-
honestly not sure who they will or should go for, if they go for someone who likes to play football to some degree then I'd almost expect them to be relegated because while there are some decent footballers there like Charlie Adam and on his day Peter Crouch but then there's the rest who hoof, kick and play for throw ins so instant problems while if they go for a more "british" manager then what was the point of sacking Pulis
-
What does it say? the short termism of it all, perhaps this is just a bad year for it with the increased money but nobody's getting time any more, first hint of failure the money men panic and shove guys out the door, Pulis is unsurprising considering style and spend over a prolonged period but Mancini sacked for finishing 2nd? Could he not have been given another chance given he was under 0 pressure from the fans and did win the league last year? Adkins sacked after a draw away at Chelsea and 2 promotions in a row? Brian McDermott sacked despite working with a championship side after very limited investment? And I can't see it improving any time soon with the cash only going up and boardrooms getting dumber in how they run clubs and panicking about the loss of prem/champions league revenue instead of having plans in place to cover such an eventuality, honestly think Wenger is the last of the really long term manager's we'll see for quite a while
-
says a lot about the league when someone who's had 2 pre seasons with us is the 2nd longest serving manager
-
the problem is no 1 he's drastically lowering the value of an already low value squad by so publicly bad mouthing them and possibly making them a lot more difficult to shift. No2 players looking in at it are they going to be enthusiastic about joining sunderland to work under from the outside appearances a psycho. And above all else is he making these very public slap downs of his players for the good of the club or for the ego of Paulo Di Canio because frankly it looks more like the 2nd.

finishing the season with a daft accumulator with 0 chance of success Chelsea, Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Southampton, Swansea, Spurs, Man Utd, West Ham and Villa all to win €2 on it returns €393.82
-
good to very good player at his best but never a great one, but got the best out of his limited enough talent through hard work.
-
because finishing 10th compared to 17th is worth 5m
