what daft timing right after international break the logical time to do it if you're going to do it and after a decentish performance vs this season's champions and above all else we've seen ourselves bringing in someone new to save yourselves from relegation for the last few games doesn't work (in fact if its a new manager monday its basically the same timing for ourselves when we got relegated)
GW:31

Man City 2-0 Newcastle
Southampton 1-1 Chelsea
Swansea 1-0 Spurs
West Ham 2-2 WBA
Wigan 0-0 Norwich

TBF I'd have all of them in our team ahead of him (if they had same experience of playing with our players).
thing is none of them are first choice regulars for their club (hell iirc caulkers played a fair bit at lb and smalling doesn't play much at cb either for Man Utd) while Saylor is
team for tomorrow

Ireland XI v Austria: Forde, Coleman, O'Shea, Clark, Wilson (Kelly if Wilson injured), Walters, Whelan, McCarthy, McClean, Sammon, Long
if Spains in any danger of being in a play-off you can be certain there will be seeding as usual based on the random and ridiculous world rankings (norway were somehow top seeds based on ranking for the qualifier draw, how the fuck they pulled that one is beyond me) rather than oh lets say group performance which would make it acceptable to some extent but no can't risk not having the "big boys"
problem for Hughton this season is once Holt got his nice big contract after his hissy fit over wanting to move last summer he's basically stopped trying, really gone to shit this campaign compared to last and they don't have much else up front hence the more defensive approach atm I'd say. Be interesting to see how this signing will change their approach come next season as on paper it looks a vast upgrade on their current options
