amazing the difference a year can make in confidence, obviously playing for Holland 1st team for the 1st time gave him a big boost

He's built 2 or 3, chopped them apart again and ended up going back to the same old crap repeatedly. They play shite football and use some of the most dirty under-hand tactics going yet get praised to the heavens for it. All of which wouldn't be too much of an irritance if the myth about 'limited resources' didn't get bandied about all the time. They've got massive resources, what they're doing now should be the minimum requirement. I'm actually surprised their fans aren't asking questions yet. on stokes "limited resources" http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/21/stoke-city-finances-caborn-ferguson

and now thats stuck in my head

Of course, probably worth bearing in mind, she probably forecast us to finish 21st. And we'd have been lucky to be so high, too. Another somewhat positive article from her. Strange times.... she's been more or less positive in her articles on us since Pardew came in, think she's taken a fancy to him only logical explanation for the series of positive articles

neither QPR or Villa impressed me today, QPR reminded me of when they played us great movement and buildup but fuck all in the way of actual goalscoring and why does Bothroyd continue to start hes absolute shite. Villa were horrific too, pumping long balls to Bannan N'Zogbia and Agbonlahor in the 1st half 2 of them are midgets and Agbonlahor is hardly a great force in the air is just plain god awful management especially bypassing a midfield that can actually pass it around decently and that penalty was as soft as anything I've ever seen.

tbh we got lucky in the timing of those 2 games in Arsenal were all over the place when we played them and indeed a point in retrospect is a bit disappointing (not that disappointing mind) and Sunderland were/are trying to bed in a rather large number of signings plus throw in some Bruce idiocy and bingo 3 points. Got a point on Fulham Blackburn and Villa though our records against them (well at villa park) are down right atrocious and extremely pleasing to have actually got results against them. Only game where I've genuinely thought we deserved nothing so far was QPR but the reaction to that performance with 2 of our best performances is quite pleasing and is an encouraging indication of Pardew and the squad as a whole

shite but luckily I have Ba to come in for rooney off the bench
-
what was the Arsenal attendance?
-
listened to their match today against Liverpool and they played very well 2nd half, they can be got at but it won't be easy. I'd be happy enough with a point
-
defiantly agree with this, the constant bigging up of the likes of Pulis and Allerdyce and their dogshit style of "football" and praising them as some kind of tactical masterminds when the fact they haven't change their style at all and continue with it just shows how limited they are in the fact they're afraid to try and play some actual football in case its shown up just how idiotic they really are
-
potentially a rather good strike partnership if him and Ba can continue the kind of link up they had today
-
reading on, even a guy saying this guy is crazy doesn't mention colo or taylor, saying they'd have cabaye, tiote, Ba (understandably) an unfathomably ryan taylor. And thats after someone has already pointed out we've only conceded 3 in 6. i really dont know what we have to do for people to acknowladge we have a good defence (not that i'm complaining). there were people who still thought enrique was a clown until he signed for liverpool. tbf on the cbs they do have an excellent one in Samba and Danns alright though it looked like they didn't have a clue based on highlights today and also judging on that forum they really don't like their full back options
-
As well? Would be content having him to fight it out with our youngsters for a place on the bench. In the long term probably not good enough but atm. wouldnt mind him being kept on as a squad player tbh
-
can't hate the guy seems a decent lad
-
best strength in depth of strikers we've had for a very long time
-
btw anyone else shocked at how bad fulham have started? really thought they'd be flying from day one with the amount of games they played before the season started
-
be a miss for them good player meanwhile Bests not in the squad for the next 2 games Scandalous. Traps rather set in his ways and goes with the guys who have done well for him in past games, though its getting to the point where Keane should think of retiring from international football Really? he's not getting any younger and with Walters Long, Best and Cox we have some decent strikers to step up to the plate if needs be of more concern is the prospect of dunne maybe retiring we're screwed without him
-
probably won't be at Blackburn for much longer and seems out more to catch the eye of any watching managers or scouts

always say give someone new to the premier league at least 6 months and more often a year to adapt to the pace of the league but so far he looks shite
-
actually could be a rather interesting game just to watch for the midfield battle and how Cabaye and Tiote do against an impressive spurs midfield Cabaye and Tiote vs Modric and Parker will be a really intriguing matchup. VDV could tip it in their favour if we try and keep one of Tiote or Cabaye on him VDV; HBA? I would just worry it would end up giving more space to Modric to do more damage

not great to look at is it, still thats the way football is going sadly more and more commercialised
