442 and 30th min odd goal from Adam Rooney

Went to see Chris Hughtons () first game in charge of Birmingham against Cork City. Dull 1-0 win for Birmingham

Wengers a bit pissed off at Mancini after he said he wanted Nasri before the end of the month
-
£134m purchase price wasn't it? it was but he got caught out by (his own fault for not checking the books before hand) the loans been triggered by change in ownership so had to pay that off early enough
-
don't think so, think they'll make a few good signings before the window closes and keep Nasri at least for the season, they're better off selling Fabregas and just stopping the shit from being in the papers every fucking day
-
no way will we paying wages like that to anyone. We have a massive wage bill issue. thats what he will want, after all hes earning that right now. why do you think West Ham were perfectly willing to openly court a loan bid?
-
7m plus rather hefty wages (seen some speculation up to 80-90k a week) old and above all else; very average. Waste of money

statement out #nufc statement: 'We wholly condemn the behaviour of a number of our supporters who invaded the pitch during the friendly vs Darlington... '#nufc will be seeking to obtain footage of the disorder and will be taking the strongest possible action against those responsible...

Pardew's in a job which is more than he was before he signed on here. Not just any old job either, it's one of the best in football so I doubt he's squirming that much. He's publicly said that he's had great support from Ashley and Dekka as well. I agree he's hit some kind of career jackpot but hearing him answer questions about the £35 million makes me worry. The excuses seem like they're thought up during the question. I doubt he'd dare say anything negative about Big Derek and Ashley either. The "Carroll cannot be sold at any price" turned into "It's for the best innit" very quickly, for example. its a rare manager who says something negative about his boss

doesn't think? either he has or he hasn't surely he might actually know
-
just caught up what the holy fuck?!

Mirror say Wigan have put up the 9m price
-
Wouldn't surprise me if we made a move now to be honest. noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

all the club can do is offer as good a deal as they can and hope for the best

Hypothetically speaking... Marveaux Agent fee + Signing-on fee: £2 million Three years wages at £35,000 a week: £5.5 million = £7.5 million (for NUFC) N'Zogbia Transfer fee + sign-on and agent fees: £9 million Just out of interest, who would you rather have, honestly? Was N'Zogbia offering to play for free, save his signing on fee? 9m including signing fee and agent fee is a tad bit low in expectation considering wigan want 9m themselves for the player

:mackems: :mackems: So Carroll was supposedly on £20k a week, Nolan £40k-50k, Fat Sol £30k and Kuqi what about £500? so that's around £100k a week in total Tiote's new deal, Cabaye, Marveux and Ba are all going to be on between £50k-£60k a week at a guess. Don't think it is a valid answer from AP about the £35m being spent, but he is probably right about the wage bill. I would be surprised if Cabaye or Marveaux are on that much Ba is supposedly on a heavily incentivised contract with a low basic wage Also Sol would be on more than that The wage bill probably has increased BUT I doubt it has by much - at least not enough to come out and use it as an excuse for the lack of spending why would you be surprised if Cabaye and Marveaux were on that much? Cabaye, one of the things in the french press when he signed that he was on a much higher wage with us than he was with Lille and Marveaux was a free transfer, they always lend themselves to larger wages so 50 even 60k is hardly impossible for them

Don't think Routledge had been linked whatsoever. He was meant to be in talks with Boro and then out of nowhere he was announced an NUFC player. That's how I remember it too. Everyone was getting a chubby on over the prospect of Victor Moses and then bang, WR10 had signed on the dotted line. I can't really recall Best being linked either. only recall best being mooted while he was having his medical Simpsons loan was unexpected too as I recall

Tony Barret of the times tweeted he put in a transfer request to force the move

tbf I'd be curious to see how those sides do Boca especially Poorly I suspect since their season finished weeks after ours and so I'd imagine preseason is a bit behind (plus theyre average at best anyway) although they're fans will ensure a good atmosphere. oh i know but it will be nice to see them play anyway
