Since we have a wide range of old and young on here I was curious to see what little things people miss from the match. For example, I miss the playing of Jarrow Song before every match. Whatever happened to that?I bet if you listen to it you'll all know what I'm talking about. I was looking on a NUFC facebook group and one of the lads posted this song Anyone remember this being played at the game? My dad was telling me that the groundstaff would stamp their feet at the same time of the clapping and the Gallowgate would also join in

What is the protest, exactly??? Well I'll rephrase that to showing our discontent. Something needs to be done. The more people that jump onto the bandwagon and buy copies and 'spread the word'. The more the Ronnie will keep printing the stuff. It's a wash-rinse-repeat cycle. If just everyone who's going to the game did it tomorrow it would give the Chron the incntive to print more stuff about Ashley and co. that they haven't dared do in decades. It really is a now or never in my opinion

Tbh if people klnow about this and can't be arsed to buy a 60p Ronnie, wave it about a bit for 30 seconds before the game, then we really are useless at protesting

Played school football with Greg Rutherford who's now playing for Hartlepool. Despite being from Whitley Bay and playing at a very good level his whole life, NUFC never once watched him. I think Boro and Sunderland did and he had a stint with Boro. I'm not sure what our scouting policy is tbh

Yep. Funny how if you get a team out of the Championship then go back down, your name becomes mud whilst someone like Poyet who has languished in Championship mid-table for a few years now (one play off semi, hmm great) has had a growing reputation. If he hadn't played for Chelsea and Spurs, nobody would be in the slightest bit interested in him. Compare to Nigel Clough who's in keeping Derby dully mid table consistently over a few years while bringing through some kids at the same time as rather large reduction in whats available for him to spend I'd say is better than Poyets ones at Brighton because of the difference in budget but if any premier league side let alone Sunderland (from our POV) appointed Clough they'd be a laughing stock. Yup. He had a decent budget at Brighton did Gus. Clough on the other hand did more or less the same job but with no budget and he tried to bleed in new players at a struggling club
