    Alan Pardew

We have to remember that Pardew said he was 'happy' with the squad he had in the summer, so he can't be using that as an excuse anyway the cunt
  3. They both needed each other in fairness. (Taylor failed miserably at Derby County) But tbf to Clough he did win trophies without Taylor. That Hamilton book is excellent in regard to the strained relationship they had at the end of their time together at Forest. They wouldn't even talk to each other and had offices at the other end of the stadium It wasn't so much Taylor going on his own back to Derby, that ruined their friendship, it was the fact he poached some Forest first teamers to go with him. John Robertson, Archie Gemmill and Kenny Burns. All were past their best mind. Taylor failed miserably at Derby whilst Clough had a mediocre period at Forest with some terrible big money signings, Ian Wallace , Justin Fashanu etc. He did have a successful period late 80s winning the League Cup a couple of times, but never challenged for the title again of course. The first problem arose when Taylor wrote an autobiography called 'With Clough by Taylor', an autobiography which was largely based on Taylor's work with Clough. He did not consult with or tell Clough that he was writing the book at the time. This really p*ssed Clough off and it started to wear thin after that. But yes when he found out about John Robertson being signed behind his back he was very upset and said he'd never talk to him again. He did end up buying Robertson back i believe. Fashanu was actually bought after Taylor recommended him, and it was clear that his scouting ability had deteriorated. This also strained the relationship too

  5. Clough himself said how good himself and Taylor could have been with Newcastle. He would regularly complain about Forest attendances and would use as a barometer of crowd success, so to speak. He did have an interview with the club but decided against taking the job Was that when Joe Harvey was sacked and they brought in Gordon Lee? Never in a million years would the board have taken Clough on. Such a fucking shame how short sighted they were. A guy who had won the League Championship 3 years before with lowly Derby County (what an achievement). On a slightly different note It makes me laugh when reading Clough's autobiography, that he talks about the club's odds for the league title being wild outsiders with 33/1 in the 79 (the year he won, with a newly promoted club). Nowadays those odds would be about 1000/1 God football is so shit now
  6. IIRC i think it was twice, once before he took over at Forest so 1975 ish? And again i think around 85/86 (yes he wason the decline then, but he still got Forest to about 5 cup finals after this period, winning two! Better than what we had in this period)

  8. Fantastic read, really is. Hamilton worked with Clough for 20 years, it has a fascinating insight.
  9. The song makes sense too because he WAS HARD TO GET!

f***ing embarrassing. Lost for words tbh. Jesus Christ. 3 points from 18. 1 point from 18 away and 6 from 18 at home.

I couldn't believe my ears when he said that he'd be moving Shola in for Demba and leaving Cisse in his 'usual' position on the wing. Fucking imbecile. Also, I'm still pissed off he brought on Ranger.

    Sir Alex Ferguson

Sir Bobby looked a lot older than Ferguson when he was 71 imo. I think he's got a few years left in him yet
  14. Hmm, not sure how to feel about this. I'll be fine as long as we get a replacement in. In the mean time at least Cisse will be played in the middle...

God, give him a break. We have never came from behind to win under Pardew We haven't scored from a set penis since October 2011
  16. So many things that have pissed me off and i can't really articulate a post at the minute. But... Simpson is shit and he can't take throw in's, or cross, or pass, or defend Tiote has been shit for a season and is a liability. What is Cisse doing on the wing? Why did Bigi come off after being arguably our best player after Marveaux? How can we concede 11 goals in two games when we train on defending 80% of the time?

    Sir Alex Ferguson

I think there is a slight difference in a little shove for an obvious offside goal and a goal that was perfectly legitimate and within the laws of the game. Add into this Ferguson then proceeds to enter the field of play, shouting at the ref and stopping the second half from kicking off; then swearing into the linesman's ear whilst he is trying to help officiate the game. Arsehole

SJP can be a vey harsh crowd to play in front of but the support yesterday was top class. Loud, passionate and 100% behind the whole team right from the off without wavering. Cisse looked good yesterday and the decision to take him off was an unpopular one. I never read too much into booing though. I've seen it reported in the press that the boos rang out around stadium before when in all probability it's a couple of hundred booing and 51,000 not. The booing becomes the story though. The atmosphere was shit again as usual until the goal went in.
  19. Shame we didn't lose. Better luck next time.
