Called it back in November. He’ll be the new Keegan. The parallels are uncanny. Young manager of 43 (Keegan was 41 when he took us over), with the task of keeping us in the division. Wants to play attacking football and seems to be a real man manager. There’s a long long way to go, but it certainly feels like he ‘gets it’, in much the same way as Keegan did, SBR did and to a lesser extend Hughton and Rafa. The next few years or going to be a wild ride. I just need to work out how I’m getting this season ticket back

Aye. You’re right. Obviously you know more than the City Council and National Counter Terrorism Security Office who met years ago to discuss the issues that COULD arise from a potential terrorist attack at SJP. Can you name another stadium in the country that you can drive underneath? They estimated that a blast would maybe kill 100-200 but the crush to get out could kill thousands. Those barriers on Barrack Road wouldn’t stop a lorry. I didn’t say the metro couldn’t be engineered into plans. I said a tunnel under Strawberry Place, so we could keep a road, couldn’t happen as the metro is already there.
-
Fuck me I hate Twitter. Got into a Twitter argument with various people because I merely stated the fact you couldn’t have a road underneath an expanded Gallowgate, for two reasons. One, the metro underneath (someone was suggesting a tunnel ffs). Two, the associated terrorist risk with being able to drive underneath a stadium. FYI, SJP actually does have a known terrorist risk associated with it already, underneath the Milburn and Leazes.

It’s not like. I’ve read innumerate comments on here and Twitter from people trying to justify a move.
-
Not even in the city boundary for one.
-
Leazes Terrace surely would be a snag for lighting? Perhaps a smaller East Stand would work? Who knows? If they did it, it’s fucking amazing.

He was complicit with everything that was wrong with the old regime. Couldn’t give a fuck if he lives in Cullercoats and drinks at the Quarry Pub. He was a cunt.

This is my dilemma. Can you buy more than one…? Is in person better than online?
-
That’s why I’m saying hopefully it changes in future more akin to the German model? Isn’t it a double step so you get twice as many in per seat?
-
Really have to hope that safe standing takes off in the next few years and then we can hope for more than one person per seat for league games?
-
Pretty certain this will only be going to general sale after renewals ?
-
I think the company that bought it have gone bust?
-
Hard to stagger sales when the membership will be defunct before season tickets go on sale. From a business perspective it makes more sense for the club to bring out a new membership from June 1st and try and get those new members signed up and then buy a ST… An extra £30 easily made
-
Membership ends at end of May. Renewals/New sales tend to be in June? Doubt membership will have any sway for 22-23. Would be good if NUST could do some digging.

He’s out for 6 weeks.

Love this post. The vast majority of Newcastle fans’ knowledge of their own club is piss poor tbh. I got into an argument on Twitter because I said there’d be no Bobby without KK ffs. The other guy just didn’t get it. Veitch, McCracken, Hudpseth, Lawrence, Gallacher, Frank Watt should all be names known from our most successful years. To the 50s I’d be arguing the likes of Frank Brennan should be getting close to breaking into our all time XI. He was a powerhouse. 70s. My dad’s era. He raves about SuperMac, Hibbitt and Co. If you’ve never seen it watch Hibbitt’s pass to SuoerMac in the 74 FAC SF. Magical! Generally this era of fan would say Natrass to be our best RB in history, yet rarely mentioned. I’m sorry like but Warren Barton and John Beresford should be nowhere near this XI. We need statues and fast ?

Having a private lunch with KK in May after one of the lads won it in a silent auction. Can’t wait. I’ll be sure to ask plenty of questions from NO!
-
Asprilla debut anyone...?
-
Shelvey and Fraser. Righto.
-
Why do we think it was? Better acoustics and noise couldn’t escape? Harder to get tickets too? Older diehards from 60s, 70s, 80s still going?
-
Membership runs out on May 31st. Doubtful that ST sales will begin then
-
Info. No idea on when it will be confirmed though. Still a bit of back and forth I believe.
